Staff was very friendly. I bought 4 stuffed cabbages and 2 custard donuts. When I got home, my husband cut into the "custard" donut and it was actually strawberry, no problem, but the amount of jelly in the donut was less than a teaspoon! The stuffed cabbage were very disappointing. It was 95% rice!! I couldn't find much meat and no taste! I paid $10.00 for cabbage and rice rolls and $1.50 per donut that was all dough! I called the store and they told me "you don't want a lot of meat, that's the way we make them"!! Also, the donuts are made in Canada. The service is very friendly and you are treated like you are family. I have been here many times with my mother and have been impressed each time. Their kielbasa sandwich is also very good and is the best kielbasa sandwich I have had in my life. The food is made of top notch stuff which I really like. Irena's has good quality food, with great service, and reasonable prices. I like that you are greeted when you walk in and are not ignored. I highly recommend you come here. Went there after Srodeks, saw the menu and thought would give it a try, ordered the Polish Plate, boy was very disappointed, Golobcki was all rice, hardly any meat, tomato sauce cold , not heated all the way through, I couldn't tell if it even was rolled up in a cabbage leaf, Perogi were okay, though no variety got 3 of the same.
