Meola's Wayside Ice Cream — Restaurant in Sterling

The site says they close at 10 I get there at 9:20 with my children and spouse just to be greeted with frustration because they said they are about to close, my daughter asks for an advertised campfire smore Sundae and the girl then says are you sure you want it because it’s too big?!, what the hell does she care if it big or not, she’s not paying for it!! Then turns to the “manager” and says can i sell it to them and the manager responds no. Then I ask for banana split she says no because we turned off the machines because we are closing. I’m like what are you serious!! it’s either you’re open or not, at this point it’s not even 9:30 and she says do you want to talk to my manager which turned out to be a biggest jerk ever that just wanted to get out of there and had the audacity to tell me well we are not talking about her now as I complained about the girl serving us, he said you are talking to me now. like saying I don’t want to hear you. Both were the most rudest person ever I’m definitely not going back there. They were not sorry what’s so ever. Really bad customer service. And on top of that I explained to him the website says they close at 10 and he the response was well what do you want me to do as he raised...

I was happy to see that they were open and the guy who served customer in front of me was wearing a mask but the two girls that I saw walking around inside were not. (Not just wearing them wrong but no mask at all)

One girl way spraying the counters where they wait on customers with Windex (which doesn't contain any disinfectant) and then she was doing a very thorough job of wiping them down with a rag and all I could think of was how counter productive it was to do that without a mask.

I turned around and left and won't be going back...

Ordered some sort of peanut butter cup ice cream and it tasted sour. Like it was made with spoiled milk. My wife tried it and thought the same thing. I asked for money back and told the server why.
