I'm 50 in 2 days. Easily the most ridiculous experience in my life. We entered the facility and were greeted by a hostess who had to finish her conversation with her friend before even speaking to us. First thing we noticed. The place was dead. 4 tables. That's it. So, we are seated. 20 minutes later, I inquire about where our waitress is. Finally, an older gentleman came to our table (the owner). He didn't say sorry. Didn't smile. Zero friendly at all. We gave him our drink order and ordered 1 appetizer.. 30 minutes later, we inquire about our drinks....then an actual waitress shows up! She's very nice, buy watching her, VERY slow. So, she gets our drinks, takes our order and leaves......forever! I get up and inquire about our drinks. Finally, person #3 brings us our drinks. 15 minutes later, our salads. No appetizer...... So, I eat my pre-made, sitting in a cooler for hours salad. Pathetic. Finally, at the end of the salad, the appetizer shows up. Keeping in mind, we've been in the building 50 minutes by now. I call the waitress over and tell her we're done. We just want to pay what we owe and leave. She says, well your food is in the window. So, we stay. Food arrives. More good news! My wife and son ordered medium rare steaks. The moment they hit the table and we saw the outside was black, we knew......there might be a problem! My wife cut into the steaks, which were completely well done. DONE..... We chose to tell the waitress that we were leaving. Period. She says, let me get the owner. No. I'm done waiting. We got up and we left. We will never return to this place. It was the most pathetic establishment I've ever been to. Besides the actual decor of the joint, there was absolutely nothing good about this place. You need to close for a week. Rethink your choices. Start over. This was a complete joke! BTW.....nice bathroom! Haha......this gets better. Out of the 5 tables you had, 3 left! How do I know this? Because we saw them all at Bob Evans 20...
Read moreFrom what was one of my favorite restaurants from a bygone age rises up an American Fare Restaurant / Pub. The Atmosphere and décor give you the feeling of class and elegance however the menu fails to reach these lofty goals. My family and I have visited several times and I have yet to be impressed by the food served to our table. On this visit our Zucchini was over cooked and the French Onion soup lacked any taste and was more of a broth then a soup. For my entrée’ I ordered the classic Chicken Parmigiana and house salad. The salad was average and the fettuccini was the best part of the main course. I do not care for their spaghetti sauce, it is much to dark for my taste and almost tasted burnt. The service was above average and before we left a live performer was tuning his guitar and keyboard. I will return to Froehlich’s but will not order the Chicken Parmigiana on my next trip to...
Read moreWe were visiting from out of town. Our daughter lives in Steubenville and had never been to your restaurant. We decided to give it a try for lunch. When we walked in the restaurant looked deserted. We went looking for someone to seat us. There was literally NO ONE in the restaurant and now we know why. We finally found someone to seat us, we ordered and waited at least 30 minutes for our food to come, and when it did, it was cold and looked like it had been sitting in the back for a while. The fries were saturated in oil and were cold. We asked the waitress (who just came in while we were eating) if she could warm up our food. Meanwhile the other waitress who initially sat us, was chatting it up at the bar with someone. She must have forgotten she had ONE customer in the restaurant. We visit our daughter often and will never be back to...
