I placed an order on doordash for a calzone, however they do not have an option for just a plain calzone, because of this I called the store( which I have previously done without issues) and explained the situation, saying â I had ordered a martonironis calzone but I do not want ANYTHING in it besides mozzarella cheese and ricotta ) I even repeated it, the lady on the other end said Okay and she would let the workers know, she even repeated it to me. A little later the doordash worker drops off my order and I open it surprised to find that the calzone has pepperoni all throughout it. Upset i call Martonis and the lady who had taken the order answers, I explained the situation, of how I did not want a pepperoni calzone but it did not give the option to pick a plain calzone and how I had called and clarified that the ONLY thing I wanted in this calzone was mozzarella and ricotta cheese. Instead of saying she was sorry about this miscommunication she got very defensive and told me it was my communication that was the issue, I need to learn to be more specific with instructions and sheâs not sure what I want her to do. I ordered the martonironis calzone and thatâs what I got, if I didnât want it I shouldâve been more specific. ( genuinely unsure how I couldâve been more clear in saying and i quote the only thing I want is cheese and ricotta nothing else) Confused at her choice of words I said I wasnât trying to argue I just was saying I received an incorrect order, and I'm not sure why she is blaming me for this mistake. She told me once again she didnât know what i wanted her to do and that when i order again I can tell them that I need a discount or something, I said can I please just have a new calzone. She responded that she needed to check, after a few minutes she came back and told me that I could get a new calzone only if I came and picked it up. I said no ( I obviously had doordash the order bc I was unable to pick it up) and that I would not order from them again. She responded with have a good night and hung up the phone. To top off this âmiscommunicationâ the receipt from the order literally states âOnly ricotta and mozzarella.â I usually wouldnât care about things like this but the service was so rude I...
Read moreAwful experience. The female employee with the black and blue eye was incredibly rude. When coming in she was ranting to coworkers about the kitchen workers having attitudes. Didnât greet us. Her trainee (poor lady) was trying to take our order and I had noticed I was charged for a small pizza but asked for a large. She had to re ring it up and needed assistance from the black/blue eyed lady. She was yelled at and judged in front of us and I felt so bad for her. I ended up telling them to give us a small instead of a large to make it easier. The rude lady tried to fix the order except made it worse and never cancelled the first so the kitchen made two of our orders and she later came out with the second one and tried to act like she meant to do that. A different employee came to apologize to us separately and noted she can be mean and hurtful and she was sorry we had to see that. The rude lady was on her phone often too, never did I see the others on theirs. She also proceeded to complain to a customer about the other pizza shop down the road how their customer service was bad. I couldnât believe the audacity she had. The service from the rude lady with the black and blue eye ruined our experience. She failed to give us her name so I donât have that to give. I could tell the way the order taking process was set up was not working for the ladies. They donât explain you have to sit somewhere look at menu and go tell cashier your order. So confusing. Saw multiple groups walk out from confusion, wait times and rudeness. Itâs also not the cleanest place. Saw a lot of debris under the back counter and clutter on top. Iâm also not sure if itâs health code violation but they had hot chocolate station with premade chocolate sprinkle rimmed cups just sitting in open air where I saw multiple sneezes and coughs. Iâm not one to leave a review however I think a reality...
Read moreFirst, I left this review on the restaurantâs Facebook page and they DELETED the comment AND blocked me! Just when I thought my mind couldnât be any more blown. I would have let this go if they didnât try to hide my experience. It looks like any time someone leaves a negative review they accuse them of not being an actual customer. Well, let me tell youâŠ
My family and I went in on a Saturday evening around 6 pm. There were several to go order tickets up, but a few open tables. My kids were hungry so we decided to stay.
We go to the counter to order and begin telling the woman at the register what weâd like. I politely asked her if they had chicken tenders and she snapped, âNO we donât have chicken! This is an ITALIAN RESTAURANT!â (Itâs a pizza place. They have Buffalo chicken fries. My question was not that out of order.) My little one was upset by her rudeness, but we kept ordering. Our order was nearly up to $40 when someone came out of the back and said, âhe said no more orders.â The woman at the register said, âwhat about these people?â And the other girl insisted, âhe said no more orders.â At which point both women ignore us before the first tells us we canât order our food and should leave.
I understand being short staffed. I Understand being busy. I cannot fathom being told ânevermindâ in the middle of placing an order at a restaurant.
Perhaps the worst part is not that the employees were rude, itâs the fact that when I reached out to voice my concern, the owner blocked me and deleted my comment! I have never even left a restaurant review before. I am not a Karen. I am patient and have worked in the service industry. But this is...
