Yorgo's Gyros & Potatoes — Restaurant in Steubenville

Was told food was good by family and friends. Apparently good food is only served earlier in the day. Arrived around 6pm, mind you they close at 7.30pm. they had told us they were out of gryo meat for the day. No problem just got grilled chicken platter, wasn't asked if I wanted it for there or to go, but they immediately put it in togo boxes.Got our food and sat down, 2 more customers walked in and lady behind the counter starts saying they are closing early because they are out of gyro meat, proceeds to ask me and my girlfriend to pack up our food because they are closing. Wasn't told they were just gonna close after we ordered, so had to leave and drive 45 mins home so food was cold and terrible by the time I got to it. Was first time here and I have no intention...

Used to love this place but the attitude of the new person down there has completely upset me. She answered the phone rude and had an attitude but i brushed it off. I made her repeat my order back because she got it wrong 3 times because she wasn't paying attention. I asked for my sauces on the salad, she put them on the side, i called to order in and my order wasnt ready even with the extra time i gave them.. her response, "we were very busy"... then i didnt get the extra feta i asked for. Absolute trash and I will not be back. I order from Yorgos at least 4 times a month! Never have I EVER been treated with such disreapect. There's not much left in downtown Steubenville, so my wife and I were pleasantly surprised to find this small restaurant there. I had spanakopita and a chicken breast. The chicken breast was tender, with flavorful herbs. The spinach pie was piping hot and delicious. My wife had a salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was grilled right in front of us. The restaurant was clean. The men's restroom was immaculate. I only gave it four stars for atmosphere because it's basically what we call a "Coney Island" in Michigan. I highly recommend Yorgo's.
