Frank and Ernie's — Restaurant in Stevens Point

Went in during the pride festival and was informed by the bartender an old bigger lady in an incredibly rude and snarky way that I had to immediately leave the establishment as I had not brought my id with me. I informed the bartender I was not drinking any alcohol and would order an appetizer if necessary which she flat out refused and demanded I leave. My partner who is trans was looked at multiple times and was accused of having a fake id because she looked like a “man” on her id, she also told me the alcohol tasted like dust. Really not the image I would portray if I owned a business especially on such an inclusive day, this company should be ashamed of themselves and the bartender should be fired. Disgusting

Edit: editing my review to respond to the obviously lackluster response from a horrible owner who can’t read my original review. I had stated multiple times that I was asked to leave from the premises simply due to the fact that I did not have an id on me at the time, I had also stated multiple times that I was not planning on drinking or ordering anything from your bar and was ordered to leave anyway, I don’t consider any of this good customer service and replying stating that my story was not true is just the final nail in the coffin. We were looking for a place that had fish fry. Everyone in town was packed . We decided to give Frank and Ernie’s a try as they didn’t seem as crowded as everyone else. Boy am I sure glad we did. Our server was wonderful, even with a bar full of people we received quick and friendly service. I ordered the fish extra crispy and they did not disappoint. Flaky , tender , crispy fish , not over battered and fried just to my liking. The rye bread was good quality and had a great garlic butter on it. There was even a nice slice of some of the sweetest watermelon I’ve ever had. And the price was right too. My friend and I will definitely be back for some of the other weekly specials....

This place has amazing potential! However it all depends on who's bartending. If Kristi or a day bartender is there you can get food (burgers fries ect) then there are some bartenders that won't cook at night. I used to work here and I left on good terms! So I hope they can get this place back together and make it the landmark that it is in...
