Point After Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Stevens Point

I accidentally found this bar while Google searching for bar burgers in town. I haven't had this great of an experience for this price in a decade. I had a well cocktail that was shockingly good. Then my food was out quickly. I had the CBR Quesadilla as an appetizer and the Western Cheeseburger. My wife had the portobello mushrooms and fish sandwich. My burger was jucy, seasoned excellently, the BBQ sauce was sweet, tangy and the bacon was crispy. The onion rings on it were so good I was slightly upset that I didn't get a full order of them. The CBR quesadilla is absolutely perfect. I am not a fan of fried mushrooms, but the ones my wife got, I thought, were great and she said are the best she's ever had from a bar. Her fish sandwich was crispy on the outside, tender and flaky and delicious. Their tarter sauce is one of the best I've ever tasted. Their fries are the only item I can think of that I would call "Very good." Listen to me. Their BUNS are fantastic. Fresh, butter toasted, soft and fluffy. Great portions. Decent pricing, especially in this economy. The service was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. I'd say more about them but we got our food to go so I had limited experience. This was my 2nd time back with my man and had Veronica R as our waitress. She is the BEST waitress I’ve had in years! Top notch service from her refilling low water( without having to ask her to), providing a recommendation for the hangover fries, asking how our fish fries were tasting when we were only half way thru our meal(we eat FAST lol), and bringing the bill before we were finished so we didn’t have to wait. This young lady deserves a raise for being such a wonderful waitress!!

P.s our fish fry was BANGIN like usual...

I enjoy dining here or just stopping in for a drink. The atmosphere is comfortable and casual. There is usually sports on the tv's, and while the place is normally crowded the service is still timely and the employees are all friendly too!

Stopped in yesterday to watch the NCAA basketball tournament with some friends and former co workers. Also celebrated a portion of my 65th birthday. There are always daily specials on food and drinks. The service is excellent and the staff is very friendly...
