Sadly, this restaurant was a disappointment on all accounts. My wife and I ordered the Belgian and Country Benedict with sides of crispy bacon and coffee. The coffee was weak and watered down and as someone who loves flavorful coffee, this was not that. The bacon we ordered crispy, was not. The Benedicts were bland and almost tasteless and left me wondering if there’s salt in the kitchen at all. The waffle for the Belgian Benedict was soggy in an instant from the hollandaise, which had no distinguishable flavor. Lastly, the hash browns for the Country Benedict were barely cooked and we’re still mostly pale in color and without seasoning. When paying the bill and asked how everything was, I couldn’t get myself to say good or fine. So I was honest and said none of it was good. The woman helping me told me to wait a moment and went to talk to the owner to see if there was anything they could do. The owner bluntly said no, had the full amount charged, and didn’t have the courtesy of coming up and saying anything to us. Bottom line, if you’re looking for a delicious breakfast spot, The Wooden Chair is not...

Prices were good for amount of food you get. Food & Coffee were good. Wasnt busy. My husband is very fast eater & I am slow eater, plus I have slight case of bels palsey, which makes bit harder for me to eat, he was already done w/his food, as I was starting my second pancake & our server comes out & asks me as I'm going to take a bite of my food if I wanted a box. What? I tried explaining I'm a slow eater & she interrupts me saying she wasn't trying to rush us out & she's leaving our bill, well that's exactly what it felt like to both my husband & I. I know she picked on fact she had ticked me off. When I finally finished my food, it was challenging to get to register, there were 2 tables in front of it w/5-8 people @ each table, forcing me to climb behind the people & table that was partially in front of register & bakery case, so it'd be nice if those tables could be moved slightly to allow better access...

I have visited this very cute breakfast cafe located in the downtown area twice now and the experience was similar. I just don’t understand all the five star reviews.Today’s waffle was just okay, but the berries and whipped cream topping was very disappointing. The strawberry (yes just one!) looked like it had come out of a can it was so mushy and the blueberries were bitter. Not what I expected for the additional $3.49 charge, especially when fresh berries are plentiful and cheap this time of year. Also I asked if they had iced coffee and was served lukewarm weak coffee with a couple of melting ice cubes in a water glass. I wish the server had just said no we don’t serve that so I wouldn’t have wasted the money on an undrinkable beverage. For the cost of breakfast here, they really do need to...

Went here for lunch with a group of ladies. Once again, it did not disappoint. Cari and her crew do an amazing job from the seating reservation to the details of each person out of 12 having our own check. Everyone loves their meal. It came out quickly. The waitress handled all of us with ease and a really good attitude. The sandwiches were done to perfection. Sizes just right. The bean soup was really tasty. The omelets never disappoint. The Wooden Chair is a local favorite and a place we always encourage people to visit. The atmosphere is fun and the food so tasty. Not too huge portions but enough to fill you full!!

I love the aesthetic look to this place. The food was delightful and would definitely go back and try something else on the menu. Our waiter was really sweet and checked on us frequently. The food was out in a matter of 10 minutes after ordering. I got the Chicken Bacon Ranch with no tomato, I do wish they added just a WEE bit more ranch as there really wasn’t a ranch flavor. My friend got the eggs Benedict. Overall this place is pretty good, I do recommend! I would say this would be a place $20-30 per person but it really wasn’t. With the meal, soda, and tip it came out to be a little over 20 bucks.
