On a whim, a friend and I booked a seat on a "Sweaty Betty" night for women and non-binary folks. We were met with a warm, welcoming host upon arrival. She readily answered any questions and created an environment that felt both open and comforting.

A very unique community gathering space and service nestled adjacent to downtown and surrounded by an abundance of flora! Abbey is a great host, she brings a very welcoming, peaceful and grateful energy to the space. There are sauna sessions almost every day of the week including a "silent sauna" for those looking for a different sort of experience. This is a completely wood-fired dry rock sauna. Attendants may pour water over the rocks to create steam. I love it when they diffuse with essential oils! 100% would recommend you try it out! I also attended a breathing workshop/sauna session with "Yoga with Hope" where we practiced different breathing exercises during and in-between 15 minute sauna sessions. I felt a lot calmer and relaxed and tolerant of the heat when guided to move my breath...

Had a wonderful sauna session with Nicole and a great group of women. The walk up to the sauna is an botanical delight and invites you to make the transition and really let go and immerse yourself in the experience. I felt very welcome and comfortable even though I was sharing the session with a group of gals I'd never met before.

The sauna is beautiful, smells wonderful, and I love the bucket and shower options for cooling off. I appreciated having some guidance in taking sauna and breaks and I also felt like it would be no problem to modify the experience if I needed to.

Aren't we lucky to have an outdoor public sauna in town! I can't wait to experience it through...
