We reserved a table to celebrate a birthday this evening and had never eaten here before. We were very happy with our meals and will definitely recommend others eat here! We ordered the Braided Pork Belly to share as an appetizer. This came with kimchi pickles on the side, which was a nice touch of vinegar to contradict the sweet, fatty flavor of the pork belly. The pork belly was braised in a honey bourbon soy glaze that was crispy and caramelized on the outside, yet the pork was juicy and fluffy on the inside. This was hands down our favorite part of our meal! We also had four slices of garlic bread brought to us. This was a pre-buttered and seasoned french bagette and was toasted to a crispy, but not hard, texture. It was pretty tasty. I ordered Dad's Meatloaf for my entre. This was served with cooked beets with a blue cheese melted on top. I absolutely do not enjoy either beets or blue cheese. However, I sampled both and can at least attest that the beets were cooked properly. Alongside the beets were fried golden potatoes. I'm not sure what they were fried in to give them the deep red color, but they were well seasoned and soft, but not quite mashable. I enjoyed them by themselves. The meatloaf was moist and adhered to itself well. This was listed on the menu as containing Angus Chuck, bacon, and sausage. It contained plenty of fat to keep it moist and prevent crumbling. However, were I blind folded and asked to taste it, I would tell you it was Andouille sausage. Thankfully, I happen to very much like Andouille sausage. I could not see or distinctly taste any bacon. Perhaps it needed more bacon? However, it was very dense and obviously protein packed and therefore fulfilling. My birthday guest ordered the special of the night, which was the Sea Bass with vegetable puree and polenta. The vegetable puree was flavorful in its own rite, and I found in sampling it that it had a warm, hearty sense about it. The polenta was warm, moist, well adhering to itself, and had decent flavor to itself. It had a nice crust to it as well. The Sea Bass was seared very well and had a nice char to it, yet the flesh inside was moist and supple. A couple bites of fish had a really mild fishy taste, but for the most part, the fish was as one should expect (not gamey or fishy). The Sea Bass was very hearty and meaty and we were served a very good portion size. For dessert, we had the Chocolate Decadance flourless cake. This is one of my favorite desserts, so I was happy to see it was offered it. This variation uses dark chocolate and ganauche with a raspberry drizzle. I'm not a raspberry fan at all, but I found the sauce very pleasant. I was also surprised that, due to the use of dark chocolate, the cake was not at all rich. Many restaurants serve extremely rich (read, super sweet) flourless cakes. This was a dark chocolate fans delight. It was creamy and smooth without the sugar gut bomb to follow. The second dessert we ordered was the Peach Melba. This is, essentially, peach slices with vanilla ice cream, berry sauce, with whipped cream and pecans on top. First, they obviously used a good vanilla bean ice cream. Secondly, the peach slices were sweet but not limp and soggy like you find in canned peaches. The whipped cream was light and lacked the overly sweet nature of canned cool whip. For the $8 dessert charge, this can easily be shared by two people! Our server, Alyssa, was very professional, and we were well served. In total, we spent $128 after the tip to celebrate a birthday. While we do not eat like this normally, we are very glad we treated ourselves and tried Catered Table. It was worth the time and money for the occasion!

Update 1/26/24. My wife and I went here tonight for our anniversary. As usual, just f!fantastic! I had the seafood soup, and for dinner my wife had the wonderful Beef Strogoffanoff. I tried the Scallop and Bacon Gumbo! Wow! 10 stars. The atmosphere To add to this review of 4 years ago. Wow. Every time we go back here, and it often, we are amazed at the amazing establishment and the dining experience we will enjoy and do enjoy. Personally, my absolutely favorite choice of Restaurants, here in Montana! 10 stars! The atmosphere is nice and quiet. The service was absolutely flawless and she was so professional and personable. One of the top 3 in the county or maybe the best in the valley! Tremendous wine collection as well at very respectable prices. You owe it to yourself to try The Catered Table. Make reservations as well. What an amazing find. Had an amazing meal! Best salmon I had in years, and I was just up in Alaska!!! Their wine selection was amazing as well. I would compare to the Pearl or better and 1/3 the price! Great service and just awesome. One of the best meals I ever have had in my 14 years here in Montana! I am orginally from NYC and know great food. Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I stumbled across this little gem of a restaurant, and I can't recommend it enough! The Catered Table is definitely a little fancier, and the hostess did say that reservations are strongly encouraged, but we happened to walk in on a slow (tuesday) night and were seated right away. The service was extraordinarily friendly, and the ambiance was downright perfect! If you're looking to hop in, eat, and rush off, this isn't the place for you. However, if you're looking for a pleasant time with phenomenal food and kind service, then this is your spot! We ordered the bourbon soy glazed pork belly as our appetizer. We ordered the shrimp scampi, and that night's special, a braised short rib over a creole sauce with wild rice and a white chocolate cranberry creme brulee for dessert. I ordered the Black Pearl red wine and just had to order a second glass. The food was incredible, and the portions were so perfect! It was a little more pricey as meals go but not break the bank insane... and WORTH EVERY PENNY. This place will not disappoint!

I visited the valley at least once a year around Christmas time, and my visit always involves at least one big family dinner. This is the second year that I chose The Catered Table for the main dining event. There were a few minor issues: Apparently there was some staffing shortages, which caused delays in some areas. This didn’t bother me much because we were in no hurry at all, but I’m sure there are some customers that would be unhappy waiting. I tend to enjoy a mixed drink before dinner, and they are not offered here. I am not really a wine drinker, but if you are a wine enthusiast, I would have to think the wine selection is quite extensive and impressive. Perhaps a Prosecco would work for me next time. This is certainly not a dealbreaker for me. The staff that was there on that evening were very busy, and they did an admirable job covering all the bases. All the food choices were very well prepared and judged by all to be delicious. The appetizers were interesting and appealing. My entree of Shrimp Scampi tasted wonderful, although it it seemed closer to a thicker linguine than what I would normally think of as scampi. But again, it tasted great. I feel like there are few other restaurants of this type/caliber in the Hamilton / Stevensville / Florence area. Although I try to go to new restaurants as much as possible when I visit other places, the Catered Table is always high on the options list, as I have all confidence that it will be a fine...

It is our pleasure to post our dining experience at the Catered Table. This was our 1st time eating here. From the moment and I mean moment we sat down, our server ALYSSA called me by my first name! Now keeping in mind I had met ALYSSA 4 months prior 2021(she is also a mobile Notary) to sign a document for me. Our first encounter was maybe 15 minutes. The next time I saw her was mid September 2021. She not only remembered my name but also my husband’s name, who she’s never met, just in conversation 4 months ago his name was mentioned while Notarizing a document for me. Needless to say it was a wonderful beginning that evening for dinner. ALYSSA asked our dinner guests name and without writing them down, remembered everyone’s name and dinner orders!!! Absolutely AWESOME to say the least. Our meal was prepared to perfection and presented in a wonderful manner. My husband and I have dined in many establishments over the years, but this was the first time our server addressed us by name, knew our orders and all done without having to write it down. Incredible and a genuine professional. We are so excited to be returning on Saturday and share our experience with friends and a great meal. Respectfully~ Vicki and...
