Tin Can Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Stevensville

So here's what's cool about this place: The atmosphere is super cool. It's clean and bright, but not too bright. It has rustic finishes and tables that were fabricated by a local company. This shows not only the owner's attention to style and culture but also to community reinvestment. Thanks, Nick, for being a community supporter. And it's family friendly before 9 pm. They have toys for kids to play with! My kids love going up there to play, dance, and eat tater tots. They feel very comfortable, and as I parent, I feel comfortable and safe having them there.

Speaking of Nick, the owner, he clearly takes pride in his business by being present as much as possible, upholding high quality standards, and should something go awry and he isn't there, he will stop whatever he is doing to be present and supportive toward the staff. He regularly demonstrates customer-driven professionalism in the way he engages bar patrons and in the way he treats his employees. He even let my 7 year old daughter help him with trivia one night. That's a good guy, ya know?

So about those employees, the bartenders and cooks are awesome. It's not too often that a restaurant cook will talk with customers, but I regularly see them visiting with people and knowing them by name. The bartenders are amazing. Bartenders can make or break a bar; people won't go if they don't like the bartenders. I love every single one of them: Crista, Mariah, Cody, and Nick.

Back to the cooks - the food is awesome. I recently had the Morning After Burger and OMG. Perfectly cooked, generously piled avocado, and just-right runny egg. I like everything I've ever had there. Even the fries and tots are pretty special. Nick says it's because the fryers are kept super clean. Keep it up.

Trivia on Tuesdays. Nuff said on that one.

My friend Dezi said I should try the burgers here. For some reason I just never got over here back then, but now that I did today, I will make a bee line to this place again and again! My Grilled Chicken Club was delish! Seriously I haven't had one better taste wise in a long while. The flavors and sauce were perfect. The tater tots were almost a cross between chips and fries-crunchy and soft inside with a hint of herbs. Soooo good. The sweet potato fries and beer battered fries were also very tasty. I tasted the Huckburger and the smash burger. 🍔 Both of those were good as well. Portions were great. The place was clean. Our waitress was quick and efficient but not really around to have friendly exchanges or refills on water. The guys thought she was cute though. LoL Anyhoo I give it a solid 4 I may update it to a 5 later, because I will go back, but it is always the workers and waiters that push the last start for me. Oh on a super hot day like today don't let the open picture/table window scare you off, because it was nice and cool...

I can't tell you how the food or drinks were. My wife and I went in last night for dinner. We sat at a 4 top right in the front. We sat there for 10 minutes and not a single employee came by the table or even acknowledged we were there. A few employees walked by our table though. There were at least 6 people working. 4 women and 2 men. I think the men were cooking. 1 woman was tending bar, leaving 3 waitresses to work the dining area, which isn't big.

After 10 minutes we decided to go eat at CJs. As we were leaving, the bar tender asked if anyone came by our table... I said no and she just kind of shook her head. No apologies, no offers to help.

I know the bar recently changed ownership. Perhaps a focus on customer service should be emphasized. We live in Stevi and prefer to spend our money local, but we'll spend...
