My husband and I went on Eid night between Maghrib and Isha. The store was super busy and the line went through the store, but that's a hazard of any restaurant in this area on Eid night - particularly a restaurant that opened around Ramadan. Regardless of how absolutely slammed they were, the food we got was delicious. I'm an East Coast native who has suffered in Chicago for years without a decent Philly Steak. This restaurant has solved my dilemma! We ordered a cheeseburger, a Philly Cheesesteak Hero, and also had Sweet Corn Nuggets - my husband and I shared the food between us. The Philly Cheesesteak Hero came out so hot that we had to wait to eat it, but was so authentic and perfect that I immediately decided this was my new favorite restaurant on Harlem. The Sweet Corn Nuggets were a delicious combo of corn fritters and hush puppies - I had to split them between my husband and myself before I ate the whole order alone. The Cheeseburger was easily one of the best cheeseburgers I've had - the bun really carried the sandwich (which was well dressed) and the patty was deliciously thin. I'm impressed by the flavors, the menu variety, and the quality of the food. I'm also impressed by the number of staff working behind the counter and the prices! We normally expect to spend $50+ to eat in a restaurant, but our total was only about $25 and we couldn't finish our food. We originally planned to eat in, but decided to take our food as carryout when we saw how busy the restaurant was. There weren't any tables available and the seating area isn't niqab friendly. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant - particularly to anyone born east of the Appalachians or anyone looking for a reasonably priced halal restaurant with a...
Read moreFood: Ordered the chicken platter and split it with my sister. The fries were crispy and seasoned. The chicken was cut into small chunks and grilled with similar fry seasoning. The rice paired very well with it. Found myself wanting more of that. They offered 3 sauces. The hot sauce was slightly too hot in the sense that it took over all the other flavors of the platter. Skip the hot sauce and get the Chipotle sauce they offer. I'd return to order the monster to try their other meats or their shrimp.
Service: Arrived in the afternoon with about a third of the place filled with primarily male customers. The workers at the cash registers were young males that were trying to diagnose a cash register issue. Had 2 registers but only using the 1 they were trying to fix instead opening up a second register in the meantime. Waited about 10 minutes for thdm to diagnose this single register issue before our order could be placed.
Atmosphere: Brightly lit with pops of color. Slightly in your face but overall eye-catching. Has an industrial city vibe despite being located in the burbs. There is plenty of self-seating. Steel chairs and tables. Simple....

I really wanted to like this place. The first time I came, I had a great experience—the food was good, and the service was solid. That first visit actually made me want to come back.
But unfortunately, things went downhill fast.
On my second visit, I received the wrong order. I let it slide and gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking it was just a one-time mix-up.
On my third visit, it was beyond frustrating. I clearly asked for a chop cheese with no lettuce, no tomato, and no extras. The guy taking my order looked me directly in the eye and said he understood. But when I got my food, it had everything I specifically asked to leave off. I brought it back nicely, thinking they’d fix it.
They remade the sandwich—and gave it back to me exactly the same way. No changes. Still loaded with lettuce and tomato.
This wasn’t just a simple mistake—it showed a complete lack of care and attention. If you have any specific food preferences or requests, good luck getting them respected here.
After three tries, I’m done. I won’t be coming back.
Be cautious if you decide...
