The Sweet Spot Bakery — Restaurant in Stockbridge Township

I placed a large order months in advance for a baby shower. Owner confirmed she could provide what we wanted, inspiration photos, colors, theme shared with owner ahead of time. Full payment was required in advance. There were multiple delays with receiving the order. It was supposed to be ready for us yo pick up the evening before, but received a message that it wouldnt be ready due to a power outage. She said she would deliver day of event by 10am, didnt show up or message. I had to message her several times through Facebook to get a response, she finally messaged and said she would be there at 11:30, didn't arrive until almost noon. We were very concerned whether we would even receive it. They dropped boxes on a chair and table, but left before I could open boxes. Part of order was missing, communication was poor. Cake was not at all decorated according to request, colors were not what I asked for, decorations looked like a very inexperienced baker did them. The filling inside cake was seeping out through cake and frosting and made a mess all over table. I messaged the owner letting her know how disapointed i was and she acknowledged she had issues making the cake THAT MORNING. She said she would consider a refund of cake if I returned full cake to her, uncut. We had 50 guests expecting dessert, so I did attempt to serve it, hoping the flavor would make up for the shortcomings, however a guest found a hair in hers and another found a piece of plastic in hers. I disposed of the remainder, out of concern. Very embarassing. I did give the owner feedback and the opportunity to make the situation right, but she has ignored my messages. I do believe in supporting local businesses, but unfortunately cannot support or recommend this...

Avoid this place them claim to be open but the owner admits by appt only. Saw lights on and open sign on yet door was locked, first they claimed it was an error due power outage (which after looking at other reviews seems be their go to excuse) then the lady gave me appt only line . There too pricy and they don't offer that much in quality baked goods. They belong in liberal chelsea where they can be stuck up and expect people to pay for baked goods that go to others . Stockbridge is a small town that is friendly not closed off. Go to Gee...

What an excellent experience. I stopped here before I did a long walk of the town, and these still looked (and TASTED) so fantastic!! I tried the ube first and was not disappointed. I was so excited to try this local bakery. Make sure you stop in early, the rest of the town agrees on how great they are, and they sell out quick!! The woman behind the counter was so kind and I can taste the love and effort they put in their items. Will be stopping in this...
