I visited this bakery store in hopes to purchase a birthday cake last minute since I had read positive reviews on Facebook from past customers. I followed Google maps to get there and it was easy to find, the only issue I would have is that there's no direct parking lot for this business instead it's street parking which is not terrible but having to find close parking may be an issue if the parking is occupied by patrons. Anywho, the store is cute and pink on the interior and they have small tables for customers to eat their goodies. Some items that I remember from my visit are fruit empanadas, galletas de boda, flan, birthday cakes, cookies and custom cakes. The service provided by the young female attendant was the ideal service that would satisfy any prospective client and I ordered items because I kept asking questions about the items display and she was not at all annoyed by them. I will say that their displayed items did not look that appetizing or enticing but I went ahead and I ordered 1 flan and 1 tres leches birthday cake and 2 fruit empanadas (pineapple and strawberry. I got home and we eagerly ate our desserts and we were a bit dismayed that the items purchased were not as great as their service. The consistent thing about the items is that they were all too sweet considering I have a sweet tooth this was alarming because I could not eat more than two spoonfuls of each. The flan was overbaked and overly sweet and the Caramel used was burnt so I was tasting a mixture of burnt taste and sweetness. The tres leches was not at all the best representation of 3 leches cake. It was not juicy like one instead it was a bit dry and it tasted like it was made from a box recipe. The vanilla bread used was compacted and mushy so I decided to try the empanadas and I would go to a regular Mexican market for a 3 leches cake. The empanadas were good, the jam tasted of natural fruits but the pastry bread used was sooo dry. Overall i would not recommend this bakery to anyone UNLESS they were desperate and or celebrating a kids birthday because they can still fathom this much sugar. I'm surprised that the bakery has so many referrals but it for sure did not live up to the hype I will say however that their prices are much more reasonable compared to mexican grocery store bakeries...
Read moreThe customer services varies -they are very welcoming but when you have an issue with your order they are: rude, not helpful at all, give you attitude, present themselves as if they were "the boss"- just very disrespectful. My sister ordered a cake that was Tres-Leches when we picked it up we noticed it was slanted but we considered the hot weather and being Tres-Leches of course, etc. As we cut the cake it started dissolving-mind you the cake was in the refrigerator for a few hours before I cut it. We noticed that cake had a-lot of whipped cream inside - with half of the bread missing. The whipped cream was dissolving the bread was not moist it extremely dry. The flavor was obviously off-because of the extra whipped cream and the bread being dry. It was so embarrassing for my sister to share that with our family. She went this morning to show them the pictures we took- the individual that helped her was not helpful- SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO..... However, what they did do was deliver an awful- disguising cake and horrible customer service. I will HIGHLY recommend everyone on my social media and family/friends -including those reading these reviews to NEVER order from them - unless you want to be disappointed and without a...
Read moreToday, April 8, 2020 is my nephew's birthdate. His mom specifically wanted a cake design and this lady DID NOT DO THE CORRECT DESIGN! She kept putting the blame on his mother when his mom wanted the cake as she presented it ( an exact replica of the picture). Lady said her printer didn't work AFTER she took the order and made the cake. Super disappointed. DON'T LIE. BE HONEST FROM THE VERY BEGINNING. I'm sure the cake is going to taste delicious but that is no excuse for the presentation being awful. If you want to see pictures. I have them. Originally his mom was going to get a smaller cake that cost less and pay extra for the printed letters but Leticia said if she were to get the $44 cake the printed letters would be included. APPARENTLY THAT IS NOT TRUE. His father took the yellow/orange frosting off and added whip cream as well as printed the letters to put on the cake to make it more presentable. This is ridiculous. His dad shouldn't of had to do that. Magda's cakes should of done it from the very beginning since that was what was included...
