Worse experience EVER This review is on service and cooking practices.

I called for takeout things went well. I go pick up the order and I don’t check the bag they gave me due to having a baby with me in her stroller. I get home 4 miles away and before I get into my house I get a phone call.

Hey we made a mistake can you bring the food back and you will get yours. I’m like oh it’s wrong I check the bag definitely not mines. I say well I have a small child and this is an inconvenience she then says “you don’t have to come back you can keep it and we’ll make his over.” I say I want what I ordered and she says “ that order was worth more than you paid” Mmm excuse me?! Doesn’t matter then gets unprofessional.

I tell them to make the customers order over and I’m coming. I then call back to talk to a manager and ask for some type of gesture for me coming all the way back. They offer egg rolls. Ok whatever. We hang up. I get another call from the first rude lady “where are you the customer is here waiting” I told them I’m not understanding why you would be trying to give a customer a bag I opened and said you would make over. She ignores everything (doesn’t speak English good) and keeps asking am I outside kindly rushing me.

I finally get to the place ok here is the food. I see my correct bag just sitting on the counter and they finally add the egg rolls on top. I ask them what’s going on why is his food being made over and not mines. Rude lady looks at me with no understanding what so ever. I confirm with other customer is this the bag you brought back he says yes. I look at her like why are you choosing to make his over and not both. Still no answer. I explain to her the season and covid and still a blank stare. I then say just give me a refund and she understands that and starts the process.

I don’t want to make this about race but it sure did feel like my thoughts and feelings were not heard due to my skin and they didn’t hesitate for the other customer as he is waiting with a smile. Had to figure something else out for me and...

A Hole In The Wall does Not Begin to Describe China Village Restaurant in Stockton! Drove 4-1/2 hours from L.A. to pay a visit to a friend in need. Since I'm here, I may as well try some Local Cuisines, wouldn't you say? Hopefully the reviews I've read about China Village are accurate, so that my 7 minute walk from my Airbnb should pay off Big Dividends. Sat down and ordered randomly from the menu. Went with the Shrimp Chow Mein, BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Deep Fried Unknown Boneless, Skinless Fish, Hunan Beef and a Large Wor Wonton Soup. Think that's enough for 1? Let's go! First dish arrived minutes after ordering. The Wor Wonton is Phenomenal. Slowly things are trickling in so I will put this review on the back burner for a moment and finish it once I'm done.... Well, that was Perhaps the Most Enjoyable meal I've had in Stockton, Ever. The Good: Almost Everything! Actually I Enjoyed the Entire Meal!! The only thing I was concerned about was when I ordered the Deep Fried Fish. As you can see in the pics, they came looking like fish sticks or more like fried calamari (to me). However they were Deelicious. After hours of gorging, I still had enough to feed a Small Army. Especially when I got the check. This was easily a $75-$100+ meal in L.A. I paid almost half that!! China Village has a New...

I don't eat Chinese food that often, so I decided to try this restaurant that was on my way. The waitress was a rude old lady who did not speak fluent English. Ask me if I was ready literally 1 minute after I sat down. I told her I wasn't ready, she came back 5 minutes later so I decided what to order. I told her I wanted sweet and sour pork, but instead of pork, I wanted chicken because I couldn't eat a red meet . She said ok, then I asked if I could get half and half fried rice chow mein, she said NO , I told her I don't mind if you charge me extra, she did not understand me so she rudely ask me to pick one, I told her chow mein, she brought me the plate and I noticed the chow mein had chicken I was like weird but I didn't mind, I started to eat and that's where I notice that the sweat and sour chicken I order was pork!!!!! I almost threw up. She didn't want to change my plate, so I ended up eating only the chicken chow mein, when I got the bill she charged me 3 dollars extra for the chicken in my chow mein that I never order 😂...

Mongolian beef- ok. A bit heavy on the oyster sauce, so has a slight seafood flavor. (Or they just didn't clean the pan between dishes). No dried red chili - so unfortunately not spicy . Veg chowmein good flavor but large noodles, and very few veg. S&S Chicken: ordered w/out green peppers and it was almost all chicken- barely any onions and no pineapple Over cooked and not much flavor. Similar to frozen dinner from grocery store. Mu shu pork: good, needs more hoisin sauce for pancakes. Crab rangoon: good filling but didn't like the vessel. Prefer the crimped wonton shape. Ants climbing on trees: good flavor and spice level; reminds me of Thai beef lettuce cups, but with Chinese seasonings. Overall the service was very good and the food is not bad. Still looking for great.

We came to pickup our boat from the service and the batteries died. We had to weight ’till they get replaced and walked to the restaurant for lunch. The restaurant is outdated and has 60’s vibe, it would look more happier with a fresh coat of paint and a deep cleaning. No AC, there is a big commercial ugly looking fan that was blowing air. By the reviews I had high expectations and was looking forward to eat at this place. The food was average, the food presentation looked like the restaurant. The server was nice. My personal opinion of this place - I will definitely eat there if there are no other choices.
