Another place that looks great but is only interested in catering to tourists. Try supporting the community!

Edited to add more details requested: you've partnered with the top local produce purveyor. Congrats. Who else are you going to work with, Sysco? Are you even open on the days they deliver? Don't pretend your prepackaged city nonsense just flies over the heads of county folk. You employ 40+ "locals"? For what, 4 days a week? Nobody is affording to live locally on your wages at 4 days a week. And my complaint that you are only catering to tourists is succinct enough. If you were a local, you would understand that. We'd like somewhere to eat breakfast all weekdays, not just when the tourists leave whatever area they make their home in to come to ours.

Being a 'great place for people to set up shop and work from' is not doing a great service to the locals. Their handful of business is not going to sustain your bottom line. Look at the couple of breakfast joints that are actually surviving around here. How often are they open? Bet you it's not 6-8 hours 4 days a week. On the other hand, how many businesses have blown in and out of these river towns with your schedule over the decades?

We were excited when you and your family bought the properties there. Then you just did what everyone else did ... Removed the history, made it convenient for outsiders, paid no attention to the people who live here, and then act insufferable and self righteous when there's a complaint.

I would offer more actual criticism on your food offerings if I were able to visit, but your late morning and late week hours make that impossible for my family and every other local I've personally spoken to face to face.

Sorry to be harsh, new person, I really wanted something else to happen here, but it just looks like a fresh new veneer on the same old...

Stockton Market is exactly what our town needed. We eagerly awaited its opening, and it has exceeded every expectation—we’ve been coming every weekend since.

The menu is full of highlights, but a few standouts include the curry chicken salad, the grab-and-go Brie honey baguette, and the unforgettable carrot cake (which has become a birthday staple in our house). Their sourdough and challah are bakery perfection, and I’m always excited to see the seasonal additions. Winter favorites like the winter salad and the G sandwich—a delicious twist on a French dip—were weekly staples.

The portions are generous, and the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. Eric on the catering team has come through for me time and again—whether it’s a custom carrot cake or, most recently, a full Easter spread. We ordered quiche, leg of lamb, carrots, salad, and potatoes, and our guests were raving. Catering took the pressure off and allowed me to enjoy the fun parts of hosting, like decorating. The best part? The food still feels homemade, just beautifully elevated.

Another bonus? I love that I can pop in and always find a thoughtful hostess gift that never disappoints. Locals ask if I work here because I’m always wearing a piece of merch- love the hats and totes.

I watched and waited as every beautiful detail unfolded to become the very much appreciated, and totally delicious, Stockton Market! Each member of the team, starting with Dana, has taken great care to make this place inviting, warm, and friendly. They care so deeply about the customer experience and it shows. Each dish I have eaten at Stockton Market, or brought home, has been absolutely delicious. I love the chopped salad made of colorful cruciferous veg, the homemade ice cream sandwiches, the hummus, and all the seasonal specialties. The chicken salad is divine! My husband loves the grab and go dinners, especially the enchiladas and the meatballs. All my visiting family members have enjoyed dining in on the made-to-order breakfast items, you can’t go wrong. But the best part, (besides the perfect cup of coffee) is watching all the children & their families, ascend the steps from my studio, make a left, and run to get their favorite treat at Stockton Market. There’s nothing like having a welcoming place to call your own, makes you feel happy inside, and where everyone knows your name. Just ask Norm...

I was drawn to this place while driving by. A lady seated on the front patio sipping an iced coffee and enjoying a baked treat looked too idyllic for me not to stop. The interior is just as alluring as the exterior. A small shop and produce stand as well as a seating area for dining in. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best experience with the staff here. First, I was waiting to order a coffee and another lady who seemed to have worked there and just gotten off her shift rudely and without concern just walked right up to the cashier knowing that I was obviously waiting to place my order. I didn’t feel like arguing, so I just stayed quiet and waited. When I did finally order, the young woman at the cash register seemed like she was having a tough day. I get it. I’ve been there as a hospitality worker myself. She was not mean, but just short and impolite. It almost felt as if I shouldn’t have been here at all. While the space was welcoming, the people were not, in my experience at least. I would come back and try again though because I know as humans we all have our good days and our bad days.

food is fine, but insanely expensive. whoever is in charge is catering towards individuals who are loaded with $$$. it is not catered towards everyday people, or locals, as the corner market across the street that sells bagged chips and cheap deli sandwiches is rated significantly higher on Google. the pizza night could be a nice occasional splurge but the fact you need to go through a web system to ‘reserve’ a pizza, by 1pm, you can’t just show up or call it in, is insane. even if you do follow their directions to sign up online to pre order a pizza, by 1pm day of, it’s often sold out as early as 24 hrs prior, so no waiting until actual dinner time, there is always a glitch, and they repeat and send emails in error, I received 3 just this morning. also the ‘tavern’ across the street having a dress code is laughable. please just serve good food and bring some of the prices lower to earth. people are not buying $12 tiny pastries or wanting to wait 15 min with a buzzer for a latte.
