While spending some time in the area we decided to check out The Olde Mystic Village. We had been there before during the day so we decided to check it out at night during Christmas season. While doing so we decided to dine and checked out “Go Fish” We happened to be there on $5 martini night so the Mrs was pleased. After looking at a menu to decide if we wanted to stay we did and were promptly seated. The Mrs ordered her drink and said it was ok, not nearly the best she had ever had. We both ordered a salad which was fine and we both ordered the fish and chips. Our waitress also asked us if we would like some bread. The Mrs said sure and I asked if they had any gluten free bread. She replied No but if I would like she could toast up a gluten free roll that they use for sandwiches. I said sure and she brought it promptly. I have to say it was delicious and a nice gesture on her part. Likewise the Mrs. enjoyed her load of bread too. Our meals came printout and we’re piping hot. So much that I had to eat the delicious fries for a while before I could have some of the fish. Once we were able to eat it, it was delicious. The coating was crispy and tasty. The fish was tasty and light. We both enjoyed our dinners. We passed on dessert as we were full from our meals. When the check arrived we noticed that we were charged full price for the martini. The Mrs brought it to our waitresses attention and she promptly made the adjustment. Overall we enjoyed our experience and meal at “Go Fish” and would...
Read moreMy partner/soulmate and I went there on Oct 12th 2021 at around 7:30pm as we had reservations. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing. Very chilled and relaxed. There were barriers between our table and some others and my partner and I loved that. We felt safe. The staff were super friendly and amazing. And I believe our waiter, if I got his name right was Zack and the waitress who was training with him, I apologize I forgot her name. Shame on me for that one. She was an absolute sweetheart too to us and got us our drinks and whatnot. I feel bad for that. Zack was phenomenal and very attentive and so wasn't his partner. Again so sorry I forgot her name😓. Anyways my partner had the Pan Seared Sea Scallops that had crab and and lemon risotto. She LOOOVED it very much. She let me have a taste of the risotto and I said I wish I had gotten that one lol. I had the Grilled Asian Salmon and O....M....G......it was absolutely PERFECT. Loved every bite of it. And for dessert my partner and I both had Bread Pudding.......I wish I would've ordered one to go because it was that amazing lol. Anyways my experience and my beautiful partners experience......we LOVED it here at Go Fish. She loved the friendly people. The waiter and the decor of the place and everything. It was truly a special night. This place EASILY deserves 5 stars in my opinion. Anything less is offensive lol. Worth...
Read moreFive of us had a wonderful evening at Go Fish. This was our first time at their new location. Creative and delicious Asian and Hawaiian inspired cocktails, sushi, appetizers and entrees. I’m Japanese and live in Hawaii so I am critical of restaurants serving sushi and Asian/Hawaiian dishes. We enjoyed the ahi, hamachi, hotate (scallop) and hirame (flounder) sushi along with gyoza dumplings and crab rangoon wontons appetizers. The raw seafood was fresh and delicately prepared. The dumplings and wontons cooked perfectly. Each of us really enjoyed our entree selections: drunken noodles, seared scallops, lobster fried rice, shrimp & veggie skewers and the halibut special. Each were deliciously seasoned and prepared perfectly. My drunken noodles was one of the best dishes I’ve had this year. A wonderful blend of Asian seasonings on the seafood and rice noodles. Prices are typical for Mystic restaurants of this quality. The restaurant is spacious, beautifully decorated and clean. There’s a cozy outdoor seating areas with fire pits. Ample parking available on property. They currently have specials every day, as well as a happy hour (pau hana) menu! We’ll be back for sure for happy hour and the Tuesday...
