Seafood Etc — Restaurant in Stonington

Had a super awkward experience here that I found to be very rude. I bought $30 worth of product and ate a lobster roll outside. I decided I wanted to surprise someone back home with a small treat so I ran back in and the same woman who was running the shop and who prepped my lunch rang me up. I apologized for forgetting to add a last minute item and presented my debit card and she just looks at me stone cold and says “$5 minimum”. I said “oh well this is really all I have and it was just an afterthought you know?” And she goes “sorry. $5 minimum”. I said “you’re welcome to just charge me a little extra I guess! For processing” and she goes “...you want it to be $5?” (This item was $2.99). I said “uh, no, not particularly” i seriously thought she was joking and then she just stared at me and I walked out the treat back and walked out. How rude and stingey. I don’t care what your processing fee is for cards it can’t be more than a few cents. And I had just spent $30 a moment before. we called as soon as the business opened to reserve 2 pound lobsters for that evening. The lady on the phone said there was no need to reserve the lobsters that there's plenty available but they only had one and a half pounds. On the phone she said one and a half are available. When we got there around 5:30 PM there was only one and a quarter pound lobsters available and she said the rest are being reserved and we can't buy them they were for the next day. The lady who waited on us was rude and unprofessional and threw our lobsters in the bin. we then asked her for steamers and she gave us a nasty look then proceeded to get the steamers. When we got home at least half a dozen of the 2 pounds of steamers were broken. We then asked for the twice baked potatoes and we told her what exactly we wanted and she forgot one and when we asked her to go back and get it we got another rude look. definitely wouldn't recommend this store and will not be visiting it...

We were visiting the area and this place caught our eye so the next day we came back to get a hot Lobster Roll. The Lobster Roll was good but it seemed like they heated it in a microwave as some pieces were a little rubbery. The are only a couple of places to sit there. I believe there were 2 seats inside and a picnic table outside. It appeared that most people got their food to go. It seemed that their main business was to sell fresh seafood. We picked up some seafood stuffed flounder along with seafood salad and Lobster macaroni. The flounder was great, absolutely no fishy taste and the stuffing had whole baby scallops and shrimp.The salads were great too. I will definitely be back to get more fresh seafood.
