If you’re like me, you’ll snap if 1 more person’s poor bagel recommendation leads you astray lol… WELL TRUST ME, THIS IS REAL 🥯 WOW the quality of this unassuming hole in the wall.. you can always tell when you see an everything DRENCHED in seeds that it’s gonna be good. The coffee menu is superb, most notably the banana bread latte (NOT some artificial banana BS) - it’s a housemade syrup with real bananas tons of clove & I would dare to even guess Rosemary or some other hidden spice!? It is freaking delicious. Peanut butter latte & blueberry white chocolate.
The bagel options are hand rolled / divine. Sandwich options are tasty creative—I got the hot boi with sharp cheddar, house made hot honey and bacon.
Young friendly staff. Particularly Alison in the front who managed the long line with sweetness and ease.
This will be my new regular spot, I will be driving over from the borough. And literally anyone who thinks the Macondo bagels are good needs to shut up & drive a little farther here instead. The funky rap music was a nice touch too, good way to start the work morning, picking up creative, coffee, options, and great bagel.
Lastly, the history of their lil farm stand is extremely cute. I am proud of these small business owners for reaching this level!!!
Love, your new lifelong customer. Please get loyalty punch...
Read moreSo first off... What you're gonna wanna do is wake up and head straight to this breakfast spot.... I'm ashamed in myself for never trying it before. You know what they say! Better late than never. These bagels are top tier. It is hands down no questions asked the absolute best bagel around. Fresh sourdough bagels. They are moist on the inside but the perfect crunch on the outside. Today i ordered a sweet lou on an Asiago bagel. I could eat this until I die of obesity it is that good. Reminded me of an Easter ham. The cheese was melted and gooey leaving my mouth watering yearning for another bite. The eggs were beautifully cooked. This flavor burst this created on my taste buds... honestly. Respectfully. Orgasmic!!! I have been counting down the hours until breakfast time tomorrow so I can take my happy self back. The atmosphere i gave lower stars because there's lack of seating. Even some of the seating they do have doesn't have a table near it. I suppose you can eat a bagel without a table so this is for sure not a make or break. The seating areas they do have are adorable I must admit. A very mid century style with a modern twist! Plenty of parking on site. If you're disappointed in your bagel message me and I will pay for it. That's how confident I am you'll love...
Read moreMy fiance and I were in town from Washington, DC visiting family and decided to check out The Flour Shop's new location, as we had previously had the opportunity to indulge in their bagels while Hannah was at the Velvet Mill. I didn't think I could ever find a bagel that could measure up to the bagels that I make at home, but .....wow, The Flour Shop's bagels have me beat! Hands down, the best bagels I've ever had and I've taste tested many in the DC area and on our travels. This not your standard bagel! The Flour Shop has elevated the bagel from a simple breakfast item to a gastronomic experience. If you think you know what a great bagel tastes like, I challenge you to try theirs and prepare to have your expectations exceeded. To those of you who live in close proximity of The Flour Shop, please don't pass the opportunity up to stop by for a toasted sesame seed or cinnamon raisin bagel and a spread of cream cheese (my faves!). Hannah has definitely inspired me to perfect my sourdough bagels since I can't be there to enjoy, but we will definitely be visiting...
