I have been waiting to give this place a try! I mean every time we drove by I said when I get paid I'm going to try them out. For me my experience was not any better than the previous restaurant Blessed Experience. First of all everyone is not Haitian so everyone does not speak French or Creole. It took me 20 mins to order fried goat , with white rice! The guy could not understand a thing i was saying. I wanted to just walk out. Until a young lady came in and I was able to give her my order. HOWEVER my order still came out wrong. I got goat in sauce I wanted fried goat! I had to ask for the bean puree and by the time I got home my rice was on top of my pikliz because they put it in the same container. There were 6 pieces of goat in a plate I paid $24 for. And I think one of the pieces was a lamb chop! Cause I have never seen goat with a bone that looks like a chop! Then these 2 random dudes come in and start asking...you pay for his food? You pay for his food. Asked me like 3 times if I paid for his friends food whom I don't even know. I had to ask him why are you asking me that. The whole experience was just bad. I think what made it bad was trying so hard to order my food. It shouldn't be that difficult. This is America and Americans like Haitian food! Helllooooo
Edit: I'm very aware of how expensive goat meat is. It's one of my favorites. I'm also aware of what it taste like because I eat it quite often. I have a video and pic of that particular piece of meat which I have no problem posting. And why should I pay $24 for 6-7 pieces of...
Read moreI have went here ample of times and it is a hit or miss, needs to be more consistent with the food, today I purchased a squash soup and it is very acidic and coloring is off, sometimes if you do not have enough squash it can off set the taste bad, just say no soup instead of serving not so tasty. Also, the host should try to speak. I find it difficult to communicate because of the language barrier.(even I have been there before like I stated paying for something thatâs not edible and you should be able to take these reviews as a learning not get upset) itâs not like people are asking you money focus what can be done positively and I have been nice by not posting other times I gave it a 3 star which that was positive to me I dated of what it really deserved. Thatâs the problem with the culture you put people in front to be host, server and customer service that has 0 English language and itâs okay and when one say something to help you have a problem I have been around the stoughton community for over 20 years and itâs the same thing I see restaurants come and go. Have a...
Read moreMy experience? hmmm what experience? Not a good one at all. If I could give -0 stars I would. My mother went and got their âlegumeâ and turkey and if you want to pay 20 dollars for oil, you are better off buying bottles of oil at the grocery store to cook for yourself. If you are looking for clogged arteries eat at sports bar and grill. This place has bad energy as well. I will let the photos speak for itself. First photo is the photo of how much oil my mother drained from the legume. 2nd photo is the rest of the legume and as you can see the legume is STILL drenched after removing the 1st batch of oil. What is going on with your chef? Are people actually content eating this amount of grease? Lastly those little containers of black bean sauce donât equal up to the amount of rice given. Do better....
