Ming Du is one of those restaurants you walk in and just feel comfortable. The owner is very friendly with an infectious smile. The staff are all extremely friendly. Plenty of parking. Seats are comfortable, decor gives it that old school feeling. We started with the hot and sour soup. They do a great job with this. You can tell they put their heart into this. It has those complex flavors created by vinegar, whine and white pepper to give it a perfect kick. Absolutely delicious! The PuPu platter had a strong showing. The beef teriyaki was marinated perfectly and very tender. The fingers and shrimp were breaded perfectly with a nice crunch while the protein wasn't overcooked. Crab rangoons were creamy with a slight hint of sweetness. They were really good. Wings were really good right out of the kitchen. Overall the appetizers were really good! Thier pork fried rice (I get it without onions) was spot on, very good! Orange crispy beef will make you want to come back for more. To truly enjoy any crispy dish I always suggest eating in. This was great! Kung Pao chicken was cooked just right. Absolutely delicious! This a great place for Chinese food. Their prices are lower than most of the places I go. The also offer small and large sizes on a lot of their items including entrées. And they have a great selection of combo's!...
Read moreWorst experience here. Got seated and it took waitress forever to come to us. Place was NOT busy busy as there were several tables open where we were seated. Waitress seemed very dismissive. It was taking her forever to come back to our table to get our food order after the drinks. Finally got a chance to order and got our pupu platter first, waited an additional 15-20 mins for fried rice and lo mein. Rice was decent but the lo mein was cold. Insane. After we got our food, our waitress made her rounds to the 2 other tables then disappeared for the rest of the nite. She didn't come to check on us, didn't ask if we wanted refills was literally no where to be found. Luckily we were enjoying each other's company until it came to where is our waitress? We wanted refills and no one was around. Had to ask another (younger) waitress to get boxes, a refill and the check. Now even that took a while. Very unsatisfactory service with no explanation. Will NEVER be going back to this place. You can see they have their favorite local people who they cater to, but we got treated like they didn't want us there or something. Been here a 3 times and each time it's been getting worse. I don't recommend coming here based on the service alone and The food isn't that great....
Read moreFinally found a decent authentic Asian place in Massachusetts. Still no comparison to what we have in Seattle. Walked into a somewhat dark and odd smelling place. Prepared myself and my daughter for another harrowing Asian food experience in Mass. I was so wrong and this place surprised me. I've finally figured Chow Mein in the NW does not equivalte to the Chow Mein in NE. Ordered Mongolian Beef, Orange Chicken, Sichuan Chicken, Hot & Sour Soup, Egg Rolls, Buffalo Wings, and Crab Rangoon. The soup was absolutely delicious and fresh. The orange chicken, drum roll please, was NOT breaded and drenched in sweet sauce. The egg rolls were also freshly hand made. The Mongolian Beef and Scichuan Chicken was not drowning in thick sauce and overloaded with the entire vegetable garden. Crab Rangoon was average and wings were just regular hot buffalo wings. Chow Mein was unappetizing and looked really sad. Only wish the food was actually spicy. The flavors were really mild. Asked for hot sauce and was given Sriracha sauce. No complimenrary Oolong tea. 😔 We will be back! It's worth the...
