It's no wonder why TGI Fridays are doing so poorly and closing their doors all over the place. It's management and the way they are run. Into the the way they are run. And let me point out, I love Fridays restaurants and their menu. However, the upper management they have in place is destroying this franchise. We walked in. Place looked nice and big, but it was freezing inside. Had to be 62 max. I get the workers are running around, so they are a little warmer, but there were only about 5 seats taken in the whole place. So nobody was running anything here. As we approached the host table, the manager came to greet us. He could care less about anything. Especially since we were there. He asked us how many, and we said 5. He then went looking around like it was hard to find a table. There were 5 people there. And 5 minutes later, I came back and laughed and said oh sorry. Like what. He had forgotten about us. He then led us to the bar area. I found this to the odds since most of the restaurant was empty, and I had three little kids with me. So they got to enjoy the two people that were in the bar area getting trashed and hitting on all the waitresses. Did I mention it was freezing? The specials were taken out of the menus, so those couldn't be ordered. The 10 for 10 menu was out. Anything else was out. I don't know why, maybe because that's what they do here. We ordered our food, and things came out looking nothing like they do in the menu or in the commercials. Or in anything else that resembles food in this country. The specialty Nashville chicken came out with nothing on it. Just a patty that you get if you're in grade school school. I know it sounds like I'm being funny, but I'm not. The chicken patty had no slaw. No jalapenos, none of the special white sauce that comes with it. Nothing. We were told that they don't have any of that left. So they thought it was a good idea to send it to my table with nothing on it. Then they sent out some lettuce with a dead bug on it. Obviously, quality control isn't being done in the back here. And then I saw the same manager on the phone with an apron on meaning that he was probably also cooking the one cooking the food, so if your manager doesn't care about yhe guests ti begin with, the last place you want him is cooking the guests food right. Especially when he sends out looking like that. Maybe he should probably be in a different line of work. I have pictures to show, but I will help them out and keep them off the internet so they can fix their problems. Not exasperate them. The best part of the whole experience was the waitress we had. She was very sweet and did her job to the best of her ability. The manager's experience was a 0, but she was a five, so I gave it a 2 be fair to her. I love TGI Fridays, and I hope this was an anomaly, and I look forward to going back...
Read moreSlow and disinterested staff. My wife daughter and meself all went there to try their new burgers. I stood at the door for 10 minutes before I even saw a hostess. Then after being seated (in a mostly empty restaurant) another 10 minutes before we saw a server. After ordering drinks, you guessed it another 10 minutes or more.
Slow service is one thing but what follows will keep me from going back again.
My daughter and I both ordered our burgers medium, my wife ordered hers well done and made sure to press No Pink please.
Wile waiting for the food the lemonade my daughter ordered was brought out by a different server and it was made incorrectly, so my daughter brought it to the attention of the server, eventually she got another one which was even worse.
After some wait the food came out to the table (brought by some one other than our server) none of the burgers were correct, all temps were wrong the two that were ordered medium were well done and my wifes was raw plus they all were missing vegetables and my wifes had the wrong cheese.
Things happen so lets see how the fix the problem.
We sat there with the wrong food for quite a while eventually my daughter asked a different waitress for assistance, she said "I know you're not my server but I've been waiting for a while and I don't have any of the vegetables on my program that was supposed to come with it." So after about another 10 minutes our original server came out with some of the vegetables but not all. My daughter said "What about the onions?" To which the server said "Oh yeah we are out of onions." She never asked how everything was. Since this is the first time my wife had a chance to talk to our server 15 to 20 minutes after the food was delivered to the table, my wife showed the server the raw burger and said "I couldn't eat it because it is raw."
To that the server said "They must have given you the wrong patty." and walked away. No offer to fix anything or replace it, no apology and we never saw a manager, NOTHING!
The of course 10 or 15 minute wait for the bill and they got it wrong and gave us three different slips until the bill was corrected.
Things go wrong, people make mistakes. To me it is not the mistake but how it is handled.
On a relatively slow night, to wait as long as we did for everything and have the service that we had is...
Read moreWe were a party of 5, 4 adults 1 child and when we walked in the hostess looked at us like a deer stuck in headlights. She said she would be right with us as she walked around confused trying to sit the party before us which I can't understand why when there were plenty of empty tables. The restaurant was far from busy. We finally sat and it took about 20 minutes or more for our waitress to come over and greet us. We had no utensils at our table. She takes our order and we ask for chips and salsa. Again a good wait for our drinks to come and when she brings them she does not bring the chips and salsa. We ask for them again and she says with a slight attitude "well the kitchen is kind of backed up so they will be right out". Eventually chips and salsa come and first the chips were not warmed like I have had them served at any other TGIF's that I've been to and second they were stale- no joke stale. She brings no plates or utensils and walks off before we could ask her for some. We track down a young man cleaning and asked for utensils. Took more than a half hour to get our food and when she finally brought it over she says to us "be careful plates are really hot" which is extremely funny considering the food was far from hot. The hamburgers were served on stale bread, my pasta served cold and crispy chicken so hard it could break a tooth. We were so hungry and annoyed at this point we ate what we could off the plate. The table on the side of us was complaining to what seemed to be a manager about the same issues that they we were experiencing. The manager refunded their money. After this horrible experience and horrible food we waited another 25 minutes just to try and pay our bill. Another gentleman could be seen walking over to the server area with his bill and cash in hand trying to do the same- pay the bill. We had informed the waitress when we sat that we had a coupon for a free burger and she said it would be deducted and it was still listed on the bill so we tell her again and wait another 15 minutes for her to return. Now I can see why this place was so empty. With service like this it will continue to be empty if it...
