Fritz Bar + Restaurant — Restaurant in Stowe

Truly a terrible experience. We arrived at 7:10 for our 7:15 reservation. Upon arrival, nobody greeted or even acknowledged us for another 10 minutes. When we finally flagged someone down, we were told that they were short staffed and would get to us as soon as possible.

25 minutes later, we were seated. An hour and a half after that, we received our appetizers (cold). Another 30 minutes went by and we got our food; not one of us enjoyed our meal. The burger was chewy and, the salmon had no flavor, the pork chop was overcooked, the ragout was bland.

The bill was over $200 for the worst meal of our entire trip (and possibly beyond).

Stowe has MANY incredible dining options. Do. Not. Waste....

Best hidden gem in stowe. Off the beaten path, and tucked in the iconic Stowehof, the Fritz is an iconic spot for some après! Great staff, and tasty food. Don’t sleep on the burger or the duck fat fries!! The atmosphere is super cozy and you feel like you’re in a time capsule of the 70s-80s (in the best way possible). For how short staffed they seemed, they provided great service without a sweat. If everywhere else in town is packed and you’re waiting for a table, I suggest checking this...

Nothing special and over priced. Taste was first huge downfall - quantity the other. Went with the family and stayed at the hotel. Hotel is ok, restaurant is not. A place I will not consider again. Poor chef summarises it. No idea why some people fine more than 3 stars - which I consider generous. Maybe they don't...
