Really disappointed overall. I’ll start with the service. My wife and I went out to Dinner for my 30th birthday last night, and my wife’s first outing in well over two months! To say we were excited is an understatement. Our server, who never gave us his name, seemed to not be interested in us at all. We waited over 10 minutes just to get a drink order, even though he walked passed our table multiple Times. We ordered an Appetizer and he didn’t even bring it out to us. He didn’t ask us if we had questions about the menu, he didn’t see how our appetizer was (the deviled eggs were... ok.) and we had to wait another 10-15 minutes before he came back to take our main course order. Keep in mind, he kept walking around our table to tend to larger tables. I waited so long for a drink refill (alcoholic drink) I finally set my drink all the way to the edge of our table hoping he’d see it. He didn’t, and we flagged him down, when once again, he walked past our table like we didn’t exist. The food was average. The menu only has 6 main courses, which is fine, but you better nail those 6 options! I ordered the steak, and it was average at best. Half of my steak had zero seasoning, and the other half had so much salt it was over powering. My wife ordered the pressed chicken which was missing a side. Since our waiter didn’t seem to care, it wasn’t until a manger asked how we were doing that she got her side (once she’d already finished her meal) The manager did her job, (I didn’t get her name sadly) by checking on us once we were finishing our meal. We voiced our concerns over our waiter and the missing food from my wife’s meal. She was very kind, and did give us two complimentary desserts (which were the stars of our dinner!! They were both amazing!) and comped a round of drinks... which we obviously did not ask for, nor did we expect it. She’s the reason for the three stars. I can’t say I wouldn’t go back, but it will definitely take a while for me and my wife to try it again.

This was a true culinary experience! Dustin, our server, was so detailed in his explanation of the dishes we asked about. He made us want to order everything! We shared the Wahoo dip, Shaved Brussel Sprouts salad and the deviled eggs. The shaved brussel sprout salad was magical. Topped with a fried egg, the yolk created a creamy sauce that lightly coated the shaved sprouts. It's honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten. The wahoo dip is savory and smooth. We devoured it quickly. The deviled eggs were also fantastic. What I loved was the detail... perfectly piped filling. Simply beautiful. Our entrées were just as wonderful as our appetizers. My husband had the Florida Rock Shrimp Lo Mein. The sauce was superb and the bok choy very tender. Perfect shrimp to noodle ratio. He loved it. My niece had the braised lamb. It was exceptionally tender served in hearts of palm with a luscious glaze. She was blown away. I had the Prime Teres Major. I could cut the meat with my fork! The creamed spinach was velvety deliciousness. I asked for roasted brussel sprouts instead of truffle frites. They were roasted to perfection! Their steak sauce was rich and complimented the steak very well. District Table is my niece's favorite restaurant. She wanted us to go during our last visit but we didn't have time. This trip, District Table was our first stop. Our wonderful experience (atmosphere, service and the amazing food) set the tone for our entire vacation. When we go back to Stuart in March you can find us at District Table!

Horrible experience. I'll give my review but first, I see that with previous poor reviews that the "owner" likes to prove points and defend more than apologize or offer a resolution. That's very disappointing to be that unprofessional. We started off by calling the restaurant to be ask if we could be seated without a reservation without any issues to staff and restaurant. I find that more than reasonable and respectful. We sat outside at a table that was wobbly until we put something under it. Our smoked wahoo appetizer was decent with the exception of some of the chips overdone. Wedge salad was very large and decent but not amazing. Our entrees were more than lacking. My fiancée's sweet tea chicken was such a disappointment. We were both looking forward to it's description and picture online. The chicken is all dark, thigh meat that is pounded and butterflied style. No where on the menu does it state that the dish is all dark meat. Batter was OK, mac and cheese overdone and gummy, jam for the biscuit very strange both in consistency and taste. The small ramikin of sauce for chicken was very tasty. My hiped up burger was very very disappointing. Very small, overflowing with lettuce and hardly any sauce to moisten the dryness of the burger. The fries were super dark and half of them were small pieces. Ketchup in ramikin was your average store bought. Creme Brule dessert had bland unsweetened taste. My fiance only ate the fresh berries on top. I was one bite and done with it. Here's the kicker to my experience. Our service was horrible. The hostess was frowning and silent. Fine, whatever. We waited over 15 minutes for any acknowledgement of our presence. Our server (older woman with blondish loose ponytail) arrived and asked my preference of water and then immediately poured it for both not even asking my fiancée's. She never once offered ANY other drinks of any sort. Very bland personality and disheveled in appearance. No mention of any wine, cocktails, etc., or even a beverage aside from water. After our appetizer was halfway through, we decided to ask for two sodas. Why would you not even offer? It would only increase your gratuity. Maybe lack of experience. We are very generous with gratuity. I have the utmost respect for any competent waitstaff and especially amazing waitstaff. Restaurant was not busy at all on a Thursday evening around 7:15 pm. That's unfortunate and telling. When a larger party left, we noticed who we thought might be management of some sort, (30's, brown mullet style hair, collared shirt), was gluing down pieces of floor that were coming up. Wow. We looked closer and noticed a rather large portion of flooring missing at kitchen entrance and also left side bar/counter seat entrance. He also walked over there with what looked like gorilla glue and glued another piece there. Is the kitchen in this condition as well? I've been waiting for an opportunity for a visit here, its disappointing. We couldn't find a manager or our server again on our way out to speak with. We left 20% for horrible service. I honestly can't remember leaving that little in a long long time but that wasn't even deserved. She missed out, we take care of great service and spread the word (born and raised here), and also give honest reviews to inform people of great local establishments to dine at. This one was more than lacking. It's a shame. The building, the menu, the food offered, the space, the bar, could have...

This is truly one place where the patron should apparently just sit there like good little boys and girls and not complain if they are served what wasn't ordered. I have been going there for years and have spent thousands of dollars there but the last 5 times I have been there I have had to continually ask them remake or cook a damn hamburger for my little one the way WE ordered it. So tonight, went there, asked for a medium burger. Took 30 minutes for them to deliver a RAW burger! I couldn't believe it. The server had an attitude when we asked to cook it just a little longer. Burger finally came back. My wife took a bite and said it tasted weird. We smelt it, and it had an awful foul order. Told the server that we simply weren't going to feed our 3 year old this burger, even asked her to smell it herself, but she refused to. So I asked for the check after my wife and I ate our meals. Check came back with the burger still on the ticket. I asked my server to adjust but she said she was too busy and would have to get Dave (manager?). Dave came to the table and I asked him very politely if they intended to take it off as we didn't eat it. He grabbed the invoice out of my hand and said "well, it appears this happens often with you guys, so I'll do it, but...." I cut him off at the word "but", and said no worries we'll pay the tab as is. He said "are you sure?" And I said "yes, very sure." I wasn't getting into it with him. Clearly the way they prepared the food WAS OUR PROBLEM. I think not. Needless to say, we will NEVER EVER go there again. So future diner beware, if you don't get what you ordered, expect an attitude as if the food prep was your fault and it was a gigantic inconvenience for them to make YOU happy. I can't imagine this will last longer. Once an establishment becomes LARGER than the customer, its only a matter of time before a community simply stops...
