All you can eat Blue Crab days are the reason I drive from PB County.
Update: We come from Palm beach county every Tuesday for the all you can eat blue crabs. While the waiters are very considerate, the owner is cold and rude and couldn't care less about his customers. I am an avid seafood eater and I dont mind spending any amount of money for fresh good seafood, hence the reason I travel to Stuart. On this particular Tuesday, every plate of crabs that was brought out was mush and clearly was cooked after they were dead. Plate after plate after plate, all of them were horrible. Out of about twenty crabs about 3 were edible, clearly not worth the all you can eat special. As a business owner, I thought the best thing to do would be to speak to the manager/owner since one of his wait staffers expressed that they were terrified of him and he wasn't in a good mood. This is ridiculous. He was inside as we were eating outside. I approached him pleasantly and he tried to give me the darkest, smug, look to clearly let me know that he wasn't going to be receptive to anything I had to say, however I inforned him about the crabs, expecting him to do the ethical thing for his customers, especially the loyal ones that spend money weekly at the very least offering a raincheck, but instead he asked that I continue eating since it was an all you can eat and he lied and responded that no one else was complaining, when the entire outside seated customers were sharing the same experience, MUSHY, FOUL SMELLING BLUE CRABS. The owner really needs to understand the art of preserving a trusted business model that maintains a profit. If you have regular customers that are coming to you and telling you tjat they're experiencing something that is unusual that requires your attention, don't dismiss it just to make a buck for the day, it's the hare that wins the race. Listen to your customers and do the right thing. And it will benefit you in the long run. Otherwise another business will come along and take every customer. You have simply because you show no appreciation. I had no reason to lie about the mushy crabs and I wanted to be heard and considered after all we traveled a long way and are loyal. I think the manager's name is Chris and he needs to do better with his customer service. He's a big guy and projects to be quite intimidating. All the waiter could say is I am sorry, she saw that every crab that was open was rotten. and did not offered any solutions, but the manager is not around to refund you the money for the crabs. I should have followed the last review that was on their page about the crabs, I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt, but I should have went with the person review. Read moreI hate to give 3 stars and a mostly negative review but you get what you earn. Met the owner before seems like a good guy. Love the blue crabs there. However, arrived there today at 7:43pm on 3/25/23 a Saturday evening. There was a two person band actively playing outside and people eating. Walked inside and stood there. Nobody acknowledged us. Female waitress walked by us like we weren’t even there. The second time she walked by I said “do we just sit wherever or…..” she says “we are closed” I repeated what she said and she says “yeah we are closed she turned off the sign” have no idea what sign, there’s a band actively playing outside. She appeared completely annoyed with us. She says let me go check. She went in the back for a second and then came back out and says yup we are closed. No I am sorry, no nothing. Just we are closed and walked away rudely. A million different ways to handle that situation better. It’s really a shame that some employees cost the owner’s business. Google says they are open until 9pm on Saturdays and those hours were updated 5 days ago. Probably won’t go back. When you spend $100 or more plus tip, people have to be more friendly and provide some good customer service. Unfortunately many servers are getting the attitude that they are doing us a favor by seating and serving us and appear annoyed. What a shame.
