I want to take my sister somewhere for her birthday and wanted to try someplace new. I passed by this place many times is as I used to work in the area. I always wondered what it was like I read the reviews so thought I'd give it a try. I love little hidden gems and small establishment sometimes you get the best food and service there. We were not disappointed. Will was our server very knowledgeable and very attentive. Thank you will for your service and answering Our Endless questions. First they brought chips and salsa to the table. The salsa was fresh and out of this world and the chips had some salt on them which I love, most places the chips are bland. For an appetizer we ordered the conch, lightly fried. I love conch and a lot of restaurants up here don't have it if she have to go down to South Florida for it, where I used to live. It was sheer perfection! I wish I took a picture before , but we were hungry and it was so delicious there was not a crumb left. My sister ordered the Snapper special and I had half pound of scallop dinner, grilled. Both were delicious. I'm not a fan of grits but my sister had the grits with cheese, she loved them and I tried them and they were actually really good. The garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. My sister side dish of the zucchini was really good. I have a side of the cole slaw also with my meal. I'm pretty picky, it was all ok, but not a big hit with me. I highly recommend checking this place out. We eventually will return and we are going to have the fried conch again! It's our new...
Read moreI wish I could give them 10 stars. Really. We came in on a Saturday evening. The facility is very small, but we were seated immediately. Very chill and friendly vibe. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable. I ordered the pistachio crusted mahi entree with the mashed potatoes and veggies. It was delicious. We got the boom boom shrimp as an appetizer, and they were perfectly done. My husband ordered the fried grouper with the grits and coconut rice. I tried it and liked it a lot. He said it was the best fried grouper he has ever had. We also tried the seafood bisque soup and both loved it (he never likes soups). We ended with a keylime pie. Again; both loved it. Not only was the food delicious and well-prepared, but the staff were all lovely. Our waiter was great. The waitress that was there was also super sweet and helpful. You can see the kitchen staff the entire time, and can just tell they’re all a great team. Thanks for a good experience in Stuart. We hated the few “more popular tourist”...
Read morePopped in as we were out on a shopping trip an hour from home. We were given a few names to check out and I’m glad we decided on King Neptune. It’s a small Florida beachy seafood joint and very intimate with only a small number of tables. Despite this, our wait was only 10 minutes on a Saturday evening. The staff were very friendly and made good recommendations. The one bad thing about fresh local seafood is that they often sell out of a few items and usually the ones you want! That said, our waitress gave great alternatives and we really enjoyed all of the food. The seafood bisque was fabulous and packed with lots of shrimp and lobster with a lovely base and not artificially thickened. We also tried the coconut shrimp and conch fritters. Entrees were fried grouper and pistachio mahi. All freshly cooked and very tasty. We spent $100 with tip including alcohol which isn’t cheap but about right nowadays. Very highly recommend and...
