Short version: This is a small local place with high prices and decent but low quality service with higher than average wait times for your food, and while the food is good, there could definitely be improvements made with some evaluation of training and operating procedures.

Long version: We came here for an early dinner and had an interesting experience. We ordered two burgers, mozzarella sticks, and a milkshake. The menu was just a billboard style with no descriptions. Most of it was self explanatory but there were some special options that you’d have to ask what they were to know.

Total was around $42 which is high for what it was, but it’s a small local place so we weren’t expecting much different, you’ve got to cover your costs. We paid cash and had to wait for three or four minutes while they went in the back and got some change, not a big deal but an additional wait time.

Once we got seated our mozzarella sticks came out in a regular amount of time for an appetizer, they tasted good but were more soft than crispy. Soon after we finished those we got our first burger with Tator tots and were told the milkshake would be out in a little bit. At this point we’d been here for about 20 minutes, not too bad of a wait time from order to getting our food.

The burger was pretty good, decided to risk one of the unknown menu items called the single bypass, turns out it was a burger with an egg, bacon, and ham along with other classic burger toppings. The Tator tots were dark and very crispy, far more fried than our mozzarella sticks had been. My personal preference would have been a split difference between the two cooking times, but that’s just me.

At this point I was curious because they mentioned the shake but not the other burger we had ordered. So we waited until we got the milkshake five minutes or so later. I asked about the other burger and the nice girl helping us looked really confused and said she’d go check on it.

Now, this establishment is very small and has about 7 tables and a diner bar, so we were only about 20 feet from where the cooks were in the back. I could hear them discussing the missing burger and how it must have been made as an incorrect style that was then given to another customer who had ordered that option, so the correct burger for our order was never made. They decided to go ahead and remake our burger. I had overheard this and knew what was going on but no one came and said anything to us. At this point we’d been here about 30 minutes and split the one burger we had and ate it while we waited for anyone to come and talk to us about the other burger.

We waited. And waited. And waited. At the point we’d been there about 55 minutes the nice girl who brought our first burger came and asked us if we’d ever gotten our other burger. I replied that no, we hadn’t. She then at this point told us the story of what had happened and gave a brief apology and said it would be out soon. It took another 10 minutes to get out to us, and when it finally came we just took it to go and left.

Evidently it takes about 25-30 minutes to get each order of burger and Tator tots ready here, so be aware of that...

The food was great even though our wait time was long it was well worth it. With only 1 cook and 1 cashier on a Friday night while they were getting there butts kicked. During this crazy busy time the "OWNER" I'm assuming it was came into the restaurant because some lazy customer kept calling the place and no one answered the phone. To me that would mean they are probably busy, but anyways gets after the girl wondering why the phone was ringing and not answering instead of jumping in and helping out and talking to her privately instead in front of a bunch of customers. OWNER U GET A 1 STAR ONLY BECAUSE I CANT GIVE A 0 STAR. We spent 50$ here and won't be back to support a owner who doesn't treat his employees with respect. They did amazing and the best they could with only the 2 of them and people coming in the doors left and right. They deserve a raise and a HUGE APPOLOGY. I would have walked out and told him to answer the phone and take care of orders himself. After being a jerk to them he leaves instead of helping out and getting...

Food was great. The wait time however wasn't. It wasn't even busy and we waited over 55 minutes for our food . They looked to be very understaffed and unorganized. I hate to bag on a hometown restaurant but c'mon 55 minutes. At least the milkshakes were pretty dang good, even though we had them finished long before we got our food haha. Hope they resolve this issue of wait times as it looks to be a common problem with the joint.

Well we tried it again like you asked us to and the wait time was better but I think the food got worse. Tots were good but the fries were not. Burgers had cold cheese on them and a bottom bun soaked with mustard. The chocolate shake tasted like it was made with...

I’ve been to this diner twice and it impressed me at the first! I’ve gotten the fish and chips both times and they’re amazing I highly recommend getting them with fries. The fries are also top notch they are not too salty or too potatoey, just the right amount! and dipping them on the fry sauce is even better. they’re also not too expensive either for what you get in general on their menu. Eating inside is also awesome, if you like some history and vintage stuff it’s worth staying inside while eating. overall Awesome diner and awesome workers!

We were looking for a bite to eat on our way home from Packsaddle Lake, and Ole’s Diner was the closest spot. We’re so glad we stopped! The young woman taking our order was friendly, helpful, and informative. We decided on the Single Bypass Burger and the Hickory Burger—both came with fresh-cut fries and a drink. Our food came out quickly, and the portions were generous. The burgers were huge and packed with flavor, and the fries were perfectly done. Everything was delicious, and we’ll definitely be back!

Kind of a hole in the wall place if you aren't from around here. You definitely get your money's worth of food here, especially compared to other more poly chains like 5 guys. You get plenty of fries or tots even though they could have been crispier. My family who got sandwiches and burgers were very satisfied with the size and taste. We also got the stuff mushrooms which was a lot for the price as well. If you want a nice diner experience and are in the area I recommend this place.
