Two stars is what I have been able to average based on taste, quality, location, and service
Taste - This has to be hands down the best kabab house/ pakistani bbq in town. Their food is cooked fresh to order, takes time, but is authentic and has amazing flavor. I give taste 5/5
Quality - Food quality seems to be there, however portion size is never consistent. Sometimes, you'll get more or less kabobs than other times you've dined. Occasionally, the food will be more burned or less cooked. So in regards to quality, when it comes to consistency, I will have to give it a 3/5
Location - This location is easy to find, parking is enough, it's near major highways. The reason I am giving Location a 5/5 is because it is 10,000 times cleaner than their older location on Bissonnet. Hopefully they can keep up with it but I noticed they mop with water that has a bad smell So it so not looking good for the future. I'll be sure to adjust my review based on future visits.
Service - I would usually save the best for last but in this case, I have to say their service is appalling. If they were to get an award for worst service in a restaurant in the world, I bet they would take home gold. When arriving, no one to greets you (which is not required but def a nice tough). When ordering, you'll notice 2-3 men (probably mad at life, or whatever is going on in their lives - it is truly affecting their personality) behind the counter. They don't seem pleasant, don't have smiles on their faces, and (drumroll) don't like to serve or speak to women. I've noticed these men are either scared to talk to women or just degrade women. Reason behind my comment - I saw a couple and their baby dine in at the restaurant. After they dined, the father was strapping the baby back in to the stroller and his wife went up to pay. The cashier told the wife to have her husband come pay. What kind of nonsense is that? I truly felt bad for this family but I'm not surprised. Bundu Khan is living in 1422 and if they don't play their cards right, the younger generation will not give them any business. For this I give them a (negative) -5/5
Average out the 5/3/5/-5 out of 20 possible stars and that gives them a 2/5. Overall, DO BETTER. BE BETTER. LIVE IN THE PRESENT. HIRE SOME HAPPY, CLEAN, NORMAL, DECENT...
Read moreWARNING... in regards to Bundu Khan Kabab House IN SUGARLAND!!! I think this is the first time in history I am posting about a restaurant complaint. And I would appreciate it if you all can share cause I know you all respect your mom and dad just as much as I do. One thing I can’t tolerate is a disrespect in regards to parents or elders. The owner Ahmad Khan should know I will be pursuing BBB reporting and reaching out to all the different review site to post my review along with complaining to the newspapers.
The incident that happened was as follows: I called the place at 7pm and placed an order via phone and the guy told me it would be ready at 7:30pm then he asked me for my credit card info to hold and said we will not charge your card and it is only to hold with every order they take via phone (which was very unorthodox/unethical situation that I came across) but regardless I said okay. Then unexpectedly I had to take my mother-in-law due to a medical emergency and I called the person letting him know that I will be a little late. The guy told me they closed at 10 since I had called and asked them what time do they close. When it came to being 9:30pm I realized I might be 5 mins over 10:00pm so I called them and told them. I even apologized that I was running late and if they could hold the door for me if I was 5 mins late. The guy on the phone cut me off even when I told him my mother-in-law had a medical emergency and said the following:
I DONT CARE AS WE CLOSE AT 10pm AND THE FOOD HAS BEEN READY SINCE 7 SO IF YOU ARE NOT HERE BY CLOSING TIME WE WILL STILL CHARGE YOUR CARD REGARDLESS.!!! THE GUY WAS VERY RUDE AND DIDNT CARE WHAT MY MOM-IN-LAW’S condition was. Just because you have restaurant that people come to,doesn’t mean they only come for food but they also come for good customer service and if you are just treating them like this and especially elders then it is not worth it. Everyone that knows me personally, knows that I don’t go get angry but these people just went up and beyond in disrespect. I have said what I had to say now the rest...
Read moreLocated in a cozy corner of a complex, parking was plentiful and there were no issues getting to Bundu Khan. Walking in, we were greeted by a modern and comfortable feel, with a painted mural depicting Houston and Karachi, and a very tasteful LED sign of their logo on a wall covered with white granite blocks. The restaurant was fairly empty, so we found our table quickly and began exploring the menu. Surprisingly short, the menu had a variety of meat served in different ways, a few drinks, and nothing more. After deliberating, we ordered mango shakes and lassis, and four different types of meat in 4 different styles, every moment growing more excited about our food. Within 10 minutes, we received our food. It came on small plastic plates and the aroma of Pakistani spices filled the air. Everything looked and smelled amazing; however, we were slightly disappointed by its amount. Nonetheless, we all dug in and instantly all five of us were raving about the perfection of the spices, the balance between the meat and paratha, and the depth of flavors. The meat perfectly melted in our mouths, and no one could pick out any issue with the taste. Seemingly instantly after we began, the food was gone. We walked out of the restaurant satisfied, however, there are just a few things that may have been better. The price per person was around $20, which was not unreasonable, but it seemed as though the quantity of food we received did not live up to that amount. Additionally, the Chicken Boti specifically was a little too tender. When bitten into, it was slightly mushy, and its texture was much different than the other dishes. Overall, the group left the restaurant very happy and would recommend Bundu Khan to anyone seeking authentic and flavorful...
