I don't know if it's lack of staffing, whether workers or completely lazy, or gaming their performance or what, but the service and food availability here is absolutely abysmal, while cashiers give customers plenty of attitude which is a far cry from when I was managing a franchised location many moons ago. A customer will walk up and they will say, "we only have x # of sandwiches and fries left". The next person who walks up they will say, "sorry we're closed", and then the next person they will say, "may I take your order?", all while I'm sitting there waiting for my order in a span of five minutes. It's been like this for over a month now. Sometimes people are told it's closed, but customers are there sitting in dining with their orders an hour or two later. It looks like straight up discrimination as I'm watching. The owner needs to take a good hard look at the way the ship is being run, because it's not as if there's a lack of customers or apparently food.
Looking around the service area, hygiene practices seem like. . . they're not quite up to snuff, and most McDonald's are very very good in this area. I'm monitoring things going forward, and if I see code violations, the Sugar Land food inspection team and corporate might be receiving a report complete with receipts in the near future. On the face it feels like they have gone downhill since they received a grade of 97 this past February. Certainly they seem to have problems keeping their ice cream and drink machines running of late, even more so than the typical McDonald's because they take forever to clean, and you have...
Read moreVery sad experience. Immediately I walked in this morning,I met a young black lady and politely asked her if they have chicken wraps because it wasn't on their menu screen, she just ignored me. OK, I felt she didn't hear me so I move closer and she said can I have your order, I told her I want the chicken wrap and iced caramel coffee medium size. She said frappe? I said caramel iced coffee then she reluctantly went and made the caramel coffee and it was just black with a pinch of cream. Then I told her I can't accept the coffee because there's no cream in this...she said oh you want just black? I will make another for you and she went ahead and called the next order leaving me on stand. The polite gentleman she's taking the order from told her to attend to me that he will wait, she shrugged it off and said oh next person, she was very rude! I was so angry , I just told her you know what don't bother and I left leaving behind my order. She can have it. I have been ordering at McDonald's everywhere, never have I met someone so disrespectful...
Read moreJust left. This location is housed inside the WalMart. The woman working behind the counter was too busy cooking nuggets and hamburgers for her own 3 kids standing at the counter drinking sodas to be bothered with taking my order. Even when her kids repeatedly said "Mommy! You have a customer! She replied that she was too busy cooking right now and they (meaning me) would have to wait. I said, "I'm just getting a soda".... 5 minutes later..... She's still flipping and frying. When she finally came over to give me a cup.... A medium cup by the way..... She said $1.29 even though she was already ripping me off by giving me the smaller cup., I handed her 2 $1 bills. She then said.... "Just give me a dollar"... She took one of the dollars from my outstretched hand, placed it behind the counter and went back to making her kids' food. I said, "aren't you supposed to ring that up"? She said, "I will. Later ". Whoever owns THIS franchise location better start taking inventory and checking the register. What a...
