Panaderia la chona — Restaurant in Sugar Land

This place was good at first, but after many times of going it just keeps getting worse. The owner is rude and unkind. The bread is always stale and hard, one time i went with my mother and we always check if the conchas are soft by LIGHTLY pressing on the bread, you can tell if its soft or HARD AND STALE. the owner saw us and got upset stating the bread was still good, but sir aint nobody want stale bread. He kept looking at us dirty after that and we don't go back anymore. The prices are crazy and unbelievable. they charge you more for just paying card and you pay less if you pay with cash. But who honestly carries cash now and days (i do sometimes, but thats not the point). i just went today because it was the only close panaderia and i got 20 mini conchas and 2 kolaches, and my total was $24. that price is honestly so ridiculous, if the conchas were mini they shouldn’t even have been that much, plus the 2 kolaches. its wild, and they dont even give you an itemized receipt, i would’ve like to know how much each item was. but that wasn’t the case. and my bread was stale only the kolaches were good. Had terrible experience. I went in for the first time looking to order a cake. I tried a slice of their tres leches cajeta and it was delicious so I ordered one be made fresh in that flavor and I wanted in the style of a cake that was in the fridge.
