I have been to Starbucks all over the country. The main thing that stands out is "Welcome" when I walk in when they are not all swamped. A smiling face at the counter and the consistency with which my drink is made. I walked into this location and was surprised to see mainly a long table in the middle with like 10 hard wooden chairs. A couple of hard chairs in the corner without a single comfortable cushioned chair or sofa. The middle was clogged by the "students" with their laptops. Every seat was clogged by the "campers". I walked past and stood at the counter. 4 guys in their 20s working. No female employees and everyone looked preoccupied with their task. 1 guy in drive through was taking orders and handing them out. 1 on the cold bar making drinks for drive through and one working the oven for food. 4th guy was sweeping and while all 4 saw I was at the counter with my teenage kids they went back to doing what they were doing without an acknowledgment. 4 more minutes pass by with me wondering who is going to take my order. Now I have a couple walk up behind me as well as a family. Finally the guy sweeping comes over. No smile or hi welcome just straight to order taking. I used my Starbucks card went down the bar to the end to pick up drinks. Stood there for 15 minutes for 3 hot and 1 cold drink. The guy on the cold bar kept making cold drinks for the drice through including my daughter's MochaFrappacino. As her drink sat there on the counter and he started straightening his section up I had say and then yell "Excuse me" to get his attention and ask if anyone was working the hot bar. I told him I had 3 other hot drinks. With no comment or apology he sees the tickets and starts to make them without emotion. Do I expect them to put "Love" into my drinks or what they do? It was 3pm. Was it the same crew from morning waiting on replacements or evening crew just starting? I don't know but just a hello when we come in and a little sense of urgency when you see people in line. The drive through seemed to move at a decent pace. I counted 7 cars there come and go while I stood waiting for my drinks with NO one in front of me....

But this team has seemed to have rallied behind the new manager with no problem. (at least from a customer's point of view) My husband goes every morning *at opening for his Venti Cafe Veronia, by the time he walks up, it is ready, they know him and what he wants, easy peasy.... one and done. Me on the other hand, a little more tricky. I use the mobile app. Mine is "kids" temp - which there is no button for - so I use warm, no foam. ANYWHERE else it comes out too hot and with foam. But not with my guys!!! When I get to MY store, It is ready, on the back left corner, temp just right, no foam, LOVE IT! Even though it is SUPER BUSY Chris always has time for a Smile, A greeting and usually some witty banter. Eric and Sarah also make sure to Greet Me every day. All three at once say Hi with my name as soon as I walk in the door. It is like my own personal Cheers. I have to admit, I will drive out of my way, leave early just to go to this location, WHY? I am never disappointed, my coffee is always right and environment is clean and inviting. I do not know if you give out special pins for their aprons. But my 3 guys should get one, everyone should see how great they are, when they walk into...
I ordered one sanwich and a pike hot coffee. The person who took my order did not ask what size I wanted how much cream I wanted to add onto my coffee. she made it a large hot coffee and put a lot of cream which made it not a coffee any more. When I picked up my coffee, I was suprised its not a small one. No wonder why the price I was charge was higher than normal. I told her that she should had asked me what size I wanted, but I still took the coffee without asking for anything else such as a refund or give me the size I wanted because I did not need to consume that much of a large coffee. I went to a table, sat down and opened the lid, it was too much cream, and I started feeling unhappy. This person has to be trained again the basics about taking orders. I agree that they were busy, but this is not the way they are supposed to work/ run the business. The coffee in the picture is the new one I got because I couldnt drink too much cream. However, it still had a lot of cream, the person still did not ask how much...
