Wallhouse Coffee Company — Restaurant in Sugarcreek

I have not tried everything but I have tried the coffee and the coffee is ABOVE average! I'm not sure how one of the reviewers could compare this coffee to McDonald's. There is no comparison. I dont know everything about coffee, but I know enough. This coffeehouse is a gem in the midst of Amish country. It will delight many an afficionado of the bean. :) I truly wish it were a chain myself. The quality of coffee is better than Starbucks. It has the same body of a Starbucks brew but the freshness of the roasting date and style of roasting justs brings it's own unique element. There is a trend towards a lighter roasting style becoming popular with other baristas and the coffees are more bright and acidic with blonde roasts being more favored and even the darker and medium roasts are being affected by this trend... I said all this to say, that if that is the style you prefer then this might not be your style. Their food is yummy, I quit buying drinks here because of the lack of consistency. But as someone who has customer service experience as a server and as a barista the employees here are friendly but need to work on being more competent. I’ve had orders made wrong more times than they are right. Just ordered a Cobb salad Togo and it’s entirely missing the sliced chicken. They need to get a better drive through speaker because they can never hear my order and the text under the item description on the menu should be upgraded to a larger, readable font. They have doubled my order before and I did not once mention needing more than one sandwich. After returning an iced matcha that had clearly been standing around for a while and was literally the worst matcha I’ve ever tasted, they didn’t offer to reimburse my drink despite it visibly being so watered down there was one tiny ice cube left floating on the top and I had only taken one sip. Don’t have the drive thru open on saturdays for some reason. Had a cone blocking the way kinda dumb if you’re gonna be open until 9pm they should probably get some management and stop letting high school kids run the place

** a staff members wedding shouldn’t effect the drive thru or hours? Do you have a business or just somewhere to make half cooked food? And good to know you favor a particular customer over another.
