Amish Country Donuts & Cafe — Restaurant in Sugarcreek

I was so impressed with my latte! I’m a craft coffee person - no flavors, whipped cream or extra stuff. I worked in 3rd wave coffee for 6 years and I thought there was no way I’d get a good latte down in amish country. I was wrong!! I had the best experience with a bubbly younger girl (I wish I would’ve gotten her name 🙃) who dialed in the espresso machine 3 times before using a shot for my latte. She apologized and I said, “pull as many shots as you need! I get it & it’s worth the wait.” She also did beautiful latte art. AND she was so nice & conversational. It made me feel so happy that she cared enough to make me a truly delicious double shot latte. If you like craft coffee - you are safe here. I hope all the baristas are as good as her. She should be training them if not!!

Great new local cafe! We were there with a group this week, they have a very nice backroom that we reserved for our 12 people. (as we can be a bit loud at times that was very nice!) The cafe was busy, but our drinks & dinner came out promptly. The owner made sure everyone got everything they ordered- great service! We also asked for a pitcher for water, which they unearthed and brought one out for us, we really appreciated the extra effort! One thing to note: if going with a group again, we might request donuts specifically for our group as there was only 1 left in the case for the evening which we took care of.
