Suburban Seafood — Restaurant in Suitland

I can honestly say and recommend Suburban for their tasteful turkey wings. I kid you not. I will literally travel just to place an order.!!! I called the other day and the turkey wings were sold out but because I anticipated , I was advised to call back in an hour. It was worth it. In my opinion it supersedes Carolina Kitchen. Their sides are seasoned to perfection (reason being ?) as a place in the food industry ( it is necessary to factor allergies , food restrictions,, vegan options and protein preference ). This location is definitely one of my top choices for soul food when you have an urge for southern hospitality. I hope anyone who orders has a good experience & if not let’s be mindful no one is perfect. Just input your suggestions if things do not meet your standards. Yes we can provide an opinion but let’s do it accordingly where it serves a positive impact & not a tear down. There is plenty of room to improve & elevate on a daily basis. If the quality doesn’t meet your expectations , then my only suggestion would be to cook your own meal from scratch but I highly recommend this restaurant . Potato salad is always OK and yams are OK...... but you'll never get an order where everything is OK. The greens had SAND in the.(they weren't washed) and they had the AUDACITY to sell BOXED Mac and cheese. Not even Kraft. It was the

Turkey was extra dry, seasoned bland, mac n cheese salty, greens salty.

And when you look around, the place looks absolutely horrid. Like, a gallin of paint is $35. You can't buy 2 gallons and freshen up the place??? You have no pride on ya business and just rely on money from ppl who don't GAF about cleanliness or how tasty something really is.

And most everything on the PAPER price menu posted above is WRONG. Add 2 to $3 for each dinner price posted. That is unethical cuz when you enter a bizniz and a price is stated, that's what the agreement is. If prices for food went up, no problem. But you have to spend the little $50 to replace those cheap paper menu boards so you're not LYING to customers.

Yall have fun buying from this place. I'll have to drive all the way to NE or District Hts to get decent food from now...

I use to visit this spot often back in the day. Boy has it changed. I try and support black businesses, even though I know that only the front desk and cooks were black. It’s Asian owned. Anyway went today 1-5-23, ordered a wing dinner with Mac and cheese and string beans. Also a four wing dinner with Mac and cheese and string beans. I paid $26 dollars. It has two stars because the turkey wings were pretty good. The Mac and cheese is boxed with no seasoning so prepare to doctor it up at home. The string beans were just okay. Not let’s move on to the fried chicken wings that was a big disappointment. They were OLD and dark wings that had clearly been cooked in old grease and had been sitting most of the day. I called and the lady who answered said I’ll let you speak to the cook, I was on hold for 18 minutes he never came and she never came back. I’m so disappointed, that this place is in a black community and treat the people of the community this way. We paid hard earned money and deserve better. I’m speaking up for the people they can care less about. Oh and corn bread is not on the menu anymore, just white...
