We were excited to try this Indian restaurant but were very disappointed :-( We have not been to any other Naan restaurant so couldn't compare it to those but have tried many other Indian restaurants in other states and ALL were better than this one.
I made a dinner reservations for 2 people the day before but when we walked in, our table was not ready; however, they did see our reservation. The 2 young girls up front (not sure why they need 2!?) were not very organized but finally figured it out and seated us in the back right by the bathrooms. It almost looked like this section of tables was an afterthought to gain more seating (terrible decision). We told her that this table wouldn't work for us and although apologetic, she was a bit frazzled and told us to just sit down for now and when another table opens up, she'll get us...what??!! We returned to the front of the restaurant and waited there for a different table. It didn't take very long, and we were seated at one of the huge tables up front right across from the buffet. The 2 young girls cleaned up the tables while we were waiting....hostess/busboy combination!? And yes, often when places are busy, everyone helps out but this was different. At this point we're thinking that we should cut them some slack since this is a new restaurant. Then we look at the menu and see that there are 5 of these restaurants in other locations!! No excuse!
Our server took our order but we had to ask for silverware and plates AFTER we got our appetizer and it took a good 5-10 minutes before she came back. Needless to say, our appetizer was almost cold. However, the Pakora, was very good and our Tiki Masala and garlic naan were also good .
The restaurant is kinda small and the layout is bad with the bathrooms and the buffet set up right by the tables. Whoever designed this place didn't have a clue.
Usually when we make reservations at a restaurant, our table is either ready when we walk in or they get it ready within a few minutes of us arriving. There should be silverware, napkins, glasses etc. at the tables for sure! At some other restaurants, the hostess brings the silverware when we're seated. Why make a reservation if you have to wait for a table anyway!?
In conclusion, this place needs a lot of work with service and organization and although the food was good, it wasn't exceptional and not good enough for us...
Read moreI was excited to try the new Na’an location at Nexton, especially since I’ve enjoyed their other restaurants. While the food quality is consistent with their other locations—flavorful and well-prepared—the overall experience at this location leaves a lot to be desired, especially when it comes to service.
The menu at Nexton is noticeably more limited compared to their other locations. That’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re used to more variety from Na’an.
The real issue here is the service. On my first visit, I placed a carryout order and drove to the restaurant around 8 PM. Despite the restaurant not being busy, I ended up waiting over an hour for my food—without clear communication or updates. It was frustrating and unnecessary.
I decided to give it another try and dined in on my second visit. This time, I encountered even more confusion. There were two front desk attendants who seemed unfamiliar with the menu and unsure of how to manage seating. I was surprised to see several parties walk in after me and get seated immediately. No one explained that the restaurant was accepting reservations and that I’d need to wait while those with reservations were seated first. That lack of communication created unnecessary confusion and frustration.
This location doesn’t feel ready for prime time. Staff need better training—not just in understanding the menu but in basic customer service and front-of-house operations. Alternatively, they should consider hiring more experienced restaurant staff who can manage guest expectations and create a smoother experience.
Bottom line: While the food is still solid, the service at the Nexton location is not up to par. Until they improve their staffing and training, I’d recommend sticking with the other Na’an locations for both better service and...
Read moreMy family and I came here for dinner on a friday night. Inside was full to the brim, but they had reservations in front of us. They told us that they could seat us but there was a booth way in the back that most people wouldn't even know existed unless they looked for it. lol. We said we'd take it because we wouldn't know how long the wait would be. I thought they might forget about us being way back there but the customer service was amazing. Even though we were in the back and couldn't enjoy the beauty and atmosphere of the restaurant, we didn't want that to kill our experience. They took great care of us. We started with Long island Ice teas which were strong. We had the Garlic & cheese naan with the lamb samosas. Both were really tasty. I DO NOT recommend the sauces that come with the samosas. Anyway, our child had the Naan pizza and absolutely loved it. For entrees, I decided to go with the Hyderabadi Mutton Curry and my wife ordered the lamb biriyani(my original choice but she told me to get something different. lol) Everything looked good and was delicious, I preferred her dish over mines. The lamb and rice had soooo much flavor. Mines was good but there were bone fragments instead of just whole bone that kind of took the enjoyment out of eating the dish. Either way, both were good, but I'd recommend the biriyani just out of pure flavor and the ease of eating. Before the tip, everything we had cam out to around $97. I would bring my wife back here to eat but I would highly recommend a reservation if you decide to go. They get full pretty fast and they don't really have that much seating. We hope you have a good experience if you decide to try them out and try to sit in the main part of the...
