Woodhaven Pizza NXT — Restaurant in Summerville

We arrived at 6:30 pm with people waiting to be seated. It was seat yourself at the bar with availability, there were two seats open so we sat at the bar, ordered our pizza and a Coke and proceeded to wait 55 min. for the pizza to come out. They had no alcohol because the liquor license hadn’t come through yet. When the pizza arrived, it was a 12 inch not the 16 inch pie we ordered. It came with pepperoni and meatball topping. The taste of the pizza was very good, and if I was evaluating it on the flavor alone, I would say definitely go to this restaurant But … there is more. The ambience is what you would expect from a more industrial material setting. The establishment was clean and neat and the service pieces they use were better than average. Drink size was 12 ounce cups for $3.50 for a soda. The pepperoni pizza cost $18.95 +3 dollars for the meatball topping to be added. This brought the cost of the check to $25.45 plus the $2.81 tax for a grand total of $28.26 plus what I left for a tip. The flavor of the pizza together with the experience that we had on this visit would not rate my coming back to this restaurant. Other customers had waited for an hour and a half or more for their pizza which came out incorrect, and the establishment offered to do nothing to compensate them for excessive time waiting and the wrong order coming out. Before their pizza came out they got six chicken wings, and two sodas. If management had been smart, they would’ve comped them those items, perhaps still charging them for the incorrect pizza and called it a day. But they did nothing for those people and I saw it. Those customers said they would never come back. I can’t say as I blame them. If you want a pricey pizza that is $5 per slice that is the size of your hand with average ambience and possibly a long wait, then...

I placed an order to go for a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and 12 piece garlic parmesan wings. While on the phone, the person who took the order from me repeated exactly what I ordered.

After getting home with the order, I noticed the pizza was not what I ordered, and I only had 6 wings. So, I called the store, and the person who took my order answered the phone, and said I couldn't speak with the manager because she was dealing with other customers. Fine. I provided a call back number.

The manager called me back and I explained that my order was wrong. I heard the girl in the background tell the manager that she read the order back to me and I confirmed I only wanted 6 wings which was NOT true. instead of owning her mistake, she lied. After about 5 minutes of going back and forth, the manager told me that I could drive back, pay for 6 more wings, and get the proper pizza. I agreed. The manager then said she needed to confirm it was okay with the owner and placed me on hold.

When she got back to the phone, she retracted her statement and said I would need to pay for a new pizza and the wings despite them getting my order wrong. Terrible customer service. I will never go to Woodhaven again. They are way too new to have as many issues as they have.

To add insult to injury, the wings were dry and the pizza was subpar.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Woodhaven in Nexton Summerville. From the moment we sat down, everything felt welcoming and authentic. Our server, Samantha, was incredible--kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. She offered thoughtful recommendations, anticipated our needs, and made the entire evening even more enjoyable. Truly an outstanding server!

We started with the mozzarella sticks, Caesar salad (with their delicious house-made dressing), and the meatball pizza--every bite was great. The flavors were spot-on and perfectly executed.

The atmosphere is just as impressive as the food. With the classic chairs and tables, Frank Sinatra playing in the background, and even the New York-style cups, it genuinely feels like a slice of the city right here in Summerville. The full bar looked fantastic as well--I spotted a few martinis go by that I'll definitely be trying on my next visit.

To finish, we indulged in their signature New York cheesecake, straight from the city itself--rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. Woodhaven truly delivers on every level. We will...
