Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Sumter

I ordered a pizza tonight and the service was horrible. Instructions were put in to have the driver call instead of knocking on the door. This was around 8pm. Waited and no pizza showed and no phone call either. Called up to the store and was told that driver called (a wrong number) and knocked on door (which was a lie because someone would have answered.) Called back a second time and spoke with management who told me that the system SOMETIMES WORKS when people add notes to their order. The manager also acted like since I was getting the pizza sent back out for free (due to their unreliable website) that everything was fine. Not once did I get a "sorry for your inconvenience" or any other form of apology. And the audacity of the manager to say "Well it's being made and resent out for free so that's all you are getting" was the rudest statement I have ever heard from a so called manager. Walked in tonight and simply asked for an empty pizza box for my 2yr old who has several food allergies. We had just ordered from them last night and wanted to do a family “pizza party” for her tonight with her allergen free pizza but in the same box ours was in. Just to make her feel included and like she wasn’t any different than us- she doesn’t get that very often when it comes to food. We were told NO from an employee and the on shift manager THREE times, even after explaining the reasoning behind asking. Was even offering to pay for the empty 8in pizza box!! You’re telling me you have a carry out special for a large pizza around $10 after tax but couldn’t sell an EMPTY BOX for $5?? My pizza pepperoni . With onions and jalapeños. This is what I got. I called talked to manager that could not fo anything but send a driver out to replace. But since I do not live in there delivery location my I would have to drive the 20 min up there and 20 back to the house. My kids was starving. I could not do that. She said well you can take it up to corporate but I gotta tell you it'll take two weeks or better before you get a coupon in the mail. So I had to eat the dang pizza ... pizza don't taste the same if the pepperoni isn't cooked on it.. plus it was soggy. All 3 we got were.. was very disaapointed.disappointed.. I mean I ordered a pizza delivered to my house as usual around Christmas time. We move. Come back in April and told they do not deliver in our area. Can't even enter our address in to order.. sux.. but what ever.. I'd rather drive to another pizza place...
