Guignard Diner — Restaurant in Sumter

On this past Friday, I had the pleasure of experiencing the “Best Burger the World”, according to a young friend I was blessed to find time with. I truly had been looking forward for days, and he did not lie. I must though commend what made the “Experience” even more special. The effort, time, attention to detail, and making sure I was able to what I did because of the Service I Received. That waitress wore the long day she was having on her back, but she you couldn’t see it in her smile. I wanted to compliment her by name, but she didn’t have a name tag though. I asked but, couldn’t locate supervisor before I had to go, so I left every dollar I could find for her tip. If a manager should get this review, she had an olive green T-Shirt, her brown hair was pulled up, a refreshing smile, and is awesome at what she does. She got you a first timer that’s now going to make it a point to be a regular. This was Friday and I was there between 1:00-2:00pm, and sat on the left section of restaurant, the first table, in the corner side by the door. That’s how great my experience was. It’s great to find a local option, that’s better than the fast food everywhere else. Thank you all, especially that fabulous waitress for letting me “Experience the Best Burger” with someone special to me. I’ll be back...

Absolutely Amazing Breakfast Experience at Guignard Diner!

My husband and I recently had breakfast at Guignard Diner in Sumter, and I can't say enough good things about our experience! My husband is usually very hard to please when it comes to food — he’s always finding something to critique — but this time, he was completely happy with everything, and that’s saying a lot!

The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The star of the morning for us was their fried chicken — crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. My husband couldn't stop raving about it and said it was some of the best he’s ever had (and trust me, that’s a rare compliment coming from him!). Everything else we ordered was equally fantastic, from the fluffy biscuits to the hearty grits.

A huge shoutout to our wonderful server, Whitney, whose customer service was truly exceptional. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. It's rare these days to find someone who genuinely cares about the guests' experience, and Whitney absolutely nailed it.

Guignard Diner has definitely become one of our new favorite spots. If you’re in Sumter and looking for a cozy place with mouthwatering food and outstanding service, don’t miss it. We can’t wait...

I gave them the one star in order to give a review. I drive by here all the time and the lot is full. So, I thought it was safe to assume that the food was really good. Well you know what they say about assumptions, and I was just that. I ordered. Bacon cheeseburger with fries and a lemonade. Again assuming that it was fresh squeezed...it wasn't, but it was horrible. The bacon cheeseburger was worst than that. I took one bite and thought it was nasty. Then I thought, maybe it's me. So I took another bite and almost threw it up. It was rotten and fishy tasting. My fries were cold on the inside. I told the waitress that the burger was horrible. In all actuality it was worst than that. She said I was the first person whoever said that. I told her that didn't make it any less true. What a waste of money! Never will I ever eat in...
