First off, our waitress obviously didn't want to be there, she made it quite clear that she didn't have time or energy for my father and I. I caught her rolling her eyes while my father placed his order. I caught her groaning and huffing and eye rolling while taking other people's orders as well. She would stop by the table to drop food but itherwise was absent. She sneezed all over our appetizer as she put it on our table, Hurried off and gave us none of her time, as was to be the case throught this horrible dining experience. She was rushed and annoyed and so I ordered something simple as to not have to ask any questions and hold her any longer than she wanted to be at our table. Its not as of we were running her ragged with requests( demanding her time) no, She stopped by to drop food and left abruptly. (The diner was near empty upon our arrival)
After we ate all the food and had been waiting she finally came over and dropped the check. Unfortunately, I knew she wouldn't be the kind of waitress to ask if we wanted desert, but to drop check and leave and expect a 20% tip. Well, 2 bucks on an 85 dollar HORRIBLE service, over priced ( $15 minimum for a salad) smelly atmosphere is more than that lady deserved. YOUR ATTITUDE has a lot to do with the amount of money you take home. Take THAT TO THE BANK!
Either way that waitress needs to be released asap and she can find a job that doesn't include being friendly and kind and patient and caring and consistent and considerate and we'll the list goes on of what a great waitress looks like as I was one for many years before plunging into management. I know its not every waitress but our first visit will definitely be our...
Read moreWas recommended to this restaurant by friends. We've eaten there three times, and had carry-outs twice. The carry outs were the same exact orders, however, the second and last time one order was very short on food .. as though someone was hungry while preparing the order and helped themselves to the food. The soup was substandard ... definitely not worth the money paid. The restaurant IS a diner, more like a truckstop diner, but charges high-end Michelin-like prices. The atmosphere is truck stop diner. We dined in at the Friday all you can eat fish fry. We were encouraged to just get the regular dinner, instead of the all you can eat, cuz it was cheaper, and, according to the waitress we couldn't possibly eat more than one serving. We found these statements to be insulting. And upon receiving our order one serving definitely would not be enough. There' were only three small pieces of fish, a huge amounts of fries, and a small portion of slimmy coleslaw which was inedible. I looked around the restaurant and we were not the only ones with those portion sizes. This restaurant needs to revamp itself, and decide what it's really going to be. This restaurant is definitely NOT worth the high priced money charged. It needs better cooks ... and a deep cleaning and santizing, especially the carpet!! 5 chances is enough! We're done...
Read moreI visited JiMichaels Diner with my parents for dinner on a Friday early evening and it was already starting to get filled up…..and parking next to the building fills up quickly but the attached center of businesses appears to have plenty of parking. I posted the menu as well as the specials for Friday and we all got items that were the specials. My parent’s got the beer battered cod and the cod & shrimp combo specials and I also got the Cod & shrimp combo. I enjoyed the meal and had no issues but my mother said her cod was over done and thought it had too much breading, my father said his beer battered cod was great. I thought the service was also good, we had an attractive Hispanic lady, with long nails and glittery eye shadow who we all enjoyed as she joked about her nails getting in the way when trying to bring cups to us. I would recommend JiMichaels to anyone looking for great service and a good meal, and I still plan on returning to try their breakfast so I’ll post another review of that as soon...
