Liv's Drink Emporium — Restaurant in Sun Prairie

Ever since i started going to Liv's Drink Emporium, I don't want to go to any other coffee shop. Their coffee is the best i have had in a long time - it is supremely delicious. Their bakery items and sweet treats, especially their cruffins, scones and cookies are delectable and affordable. And home made right in their kitchen. I love the grilled cheese sandwiches, especially the Dilly Dally one! I think the icing on the cake of this whole experience is the staff. The owners are lovely, the staff are kind, accommodating, friendly, and everyone who has been there a week or more knows my name! It's like being in an episode of Cheers! I have never had that experience before in all my 56 years of shopping and coffee shops. But one very important thing about this review, is to shout out Brooke and Elora ( hope I spelled that right!). When i start calling out my order at the drive through, Elora will say, "I got you, Claire" and Brooke will have a smile in her voice. Being a picky coffee drinker, i can guarantee that one of them will make sure the coffee I very specifically order a certain way will be just the right temperature, will taste just right and will have a cute sticker to cover the drinking spout so it doesn't get cold. God forbid it gets cold! And if there is a mishap or something not quite right, they will fix it for me. With a smile! I only ever go to another coffee shop when I am not in Sun Prairie or they are closed. Starbucks is dead to me. Locally owned and operated is the way to go and Liv's is definitely that. This is my second visit here today, I have suggested other family and friends to go here after my first visit. This second visit though was a little disappointing. I came here on my lunch break with limited time to spare, thinking for a quick sandwich and drink that it should not take too long. Two other customers came in after i have already ordered and they received their orders before mine. Now, maybe they had quicker orders to give - but ultimately it left me waiting even longer. Then I finally get my sandwich and had to get a bread that would be the quickest to make ( Since i expressed I'm in a hurry ) and couldn't choose from the other options because of that. I also did not get my turkey on my sandwich, that I paid $2 extra for. I'm just a little disappointed as I would of loved to continue to come here on my lunch breaks or grab a morning coffee - But now I'm worried that there will be this wait/not giving orders as received/not receive my correct order. I'm also worried to refer others here, who would of loved to come here in time...

This was my first time in after hearing such good things! I had ordered a pesto sandwich with a lemon dessert (couldn't remember the name of it). My sandwich came and was the wrong kind. I sent it back and got the right order but minus tomatoes (it was made with cheese, egg, pesto and tomatoes(or should have). My dessert came and was the wrong one, had nothing to do with lemon. I took it and didn't say anything. It was very good. The drink I had was a peppermint ice latte. It was okay. A man after me ordered 2 drinks and they came to him both wrong. I think maybe it was just an off day? It was busy that day for sure. Prices were higher than I'd like - I paid got my friends sandwich and drink (2 sandwiches, 2 drinks, 1 dessert) and it was almost $40 with tip.

Despite it all, I would definitely be back and try again. Staff was friendly, working hard, and vibe inside had a cute 50s theme. I'd like to try different options next time,...
