Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Sunrise Manor

Okay Google, so I pull into the drive-thru and perused the menu. Never had their chix before but I went there anyway. All the while I was thinking el Polo loco but it was too late. Nice, friendly young greeting from the server. I asked for the 12 piece crispy chicken breast strips with mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw and a half gallon of sweet tea. When I got to the window, I paid and started to request the sauce. He had already left and closed the window. So I tapped on the window to tell him and he informed me that it would be about five minutes and if I pulled to the side he would bring it out. After I eat for about ten minutes a very pleasant lady brought out the bag. By then I was so ready to go home I don't even realize that she didn't bring the tea. My bad. So I pick up pop from the corner store and go home. After seeing in I started to fix a plate of food. Curtis to try a new sauce they had I proceeded to break up a piece of chix when it stretched and pulled till it finally gave way and the two pieces snapped back like rubber. I picked up another piece to see and it was exactly the same. After doing the same to all twelve pieces I just had to share it with someone else cuz if it hadn't of happened to me, I would have never believed it. I don't know what's wrong with this store. The food is good - when they have it. I've patronized the store since it opened years ago, and they have never EVER had enough chicken cooked when I pulled up. It's not like I order dozens of family meals at once, either - just a normal 15-20 piece meal. And yet, no matter what day, or what time of day, they never have enough chicken cooked.

Tonight, I ordered a 15 piece meal at the drive through. When I got to the window, I was told they didn't have enough of either type (spicy or mild) to fill the order - they had JUST put it into the cooker. They had enough to cobble together a 9-piece meal, if I didn't mind spicy (which I absolutely HATE). We finally settled on two pieces of regular and 7 pieces of spicy (my son will eat it). Never once did the girl at the window apologize for the problem, nor was I even offered a soda or extra biscuits or anything to make up for the store not having enough chicken.

The store needs new management, obviously, since whomever is running that show hasn't a clue how to manage time, and the customer service there...

I understand that they are understaffed but need to do better with customer service, I received my cup wit a broken lid so when it was handed to me the lemonade spilled all over me and my car, I proceeded to say it was ok because mistakes happen and I hope she didn’t Purposely give it to me knowing the lid was broken. I also asked for extra Creamy Jalapeño sauce and Ketchup to come with both of my 5 pc combos and only got 3 Creamy Jalapeño sauces but no Ketchup. Please do better this store has so much potential to be better and it’s the little details like that, that make people want to keep coming back no matter the wait if you have a great service experience.
