Very disappointed of this establishment. We visited after reviews were done on IG about it. When we walked in, it was visibly busy and we had to wait. No big deal. Once we were taken to a table, a waitress came up and asked what we wanted to drink and in less than 2 minutes 2 cans of soda were dropped at the table. We thought, "wow fast service". Wrong! We never saw her again. We didn't have menus. Really weren"t sure how to order or who to order it with. Other waitresses came by with a cart of dumplings but it was more like they were pushing to sell anything. When asked if they had something simple like beef or chicken, they said no and kept moving. At this point, the waitress was still MIA so we never got to order anything. No one made eye contact with us when we were obviously wanting to ask questions or trying to figure out how to simply order. We didn't even have menus. After sitting for like 30 minutes, I couldn't help but to feel like I was the odd ball in the restaurant. The establishment was filled with primarily Asian culture which screams authentic food, but in this case I felt underprivileged. Whether in fact that was the case or not, I don't know. However, it's how I felt and a nice afternoon lunch turned into a disappointing event that left me feeling embarrassed. We were at the restaurant a total of 45 minutes and finally we just got up & went to the hostess to ask how to pay for our 2 cans of soda. Definitely won't be recommending this restaurant and will be very careful of these...
Read moreBeing new to Southern Florida coming from the west coast, I missed the flavors and the experience of what the Chinese call, “Yum Cha” or “Dim Sum” which is what I have traditionally done growing up with fond memories of getting together with my family and friends for brunch on the weekends. The bulk of the fun was watching the restaurant staff push their carts by our table with delicious small dishes of steamed and pan seared dumplings, rice noodles, vegetables, turnip cakes, roast duck, char siu (bbq pork), Chinese tamales, a variety of stuffed buns, amazing assortment of familiar desserts, and much more. My family and I sure got our fill of everything we missed from the west. We knew we were in the right place the moment we tasted our first shrimp dumpling and a pan seared dumpling generously filled with chives and shrimp. We added stuffed eggplant, tripe, tofu squares, sautéed Chinese greens and spare ribs with black bean sauce. Our eyes were larger than our bellies, obviously, but we were happy to take the rest home to enjoy the next day. For anyone who is looking for a deliciously authentic Chinese “Yum Cha” and “Dim Sum” experience where they push the carts around and let you choose what you want right then and there, you must go and try Ten Ten!! Even though it is a 30 minute drive for us, we are definitely making this place our frequent go-to Chinese...
Read moreI'll start this by saying that this is not your average Chinese food place. From what little I know with my uneducated eyes and palate it seems far more authentic, from the food down to the decor and layout.
When I came in I was handed two different menus, but told by my server "order from here" and they pointed to one of the menus, which was more than a bit confusing but I rolled with it. The menus themselves are not entirely perfectly translated, and have an odd layout, luckily there are pictures of most of the food, however, since lots of it is dimsum, it all looks rather similar, so lots of it is a guessing game. I picked half a dozen dishes that seemed interesting essentially at random and hoped for the best.
Look, I'll be honest, I have almost no idea what I ate. The only thing that were spelled out were some crispy fried shrimp sticks, which were absurdly good, and greasy in the best way, and some black truffle dim sum which was also excellent. All the food was good and unique and best part inexpensive. For once I even got myself a dessert, which were some sesame balls which I thought I was familiar with but the size of the ones they gave me were absurd. Each sesame ball was massive.
So, overall, neat looking place, great inexpensive food, but could probably work on a better menu or better explanation as to...
