How Sweet It Is Cakes — Restaurant in Superior

I wish I had a picture of my husband's graduation cake (my husband does but he's not available) because it was absolutely gorgeous! First off , the young woman who took my order was absolutely amazing! She walked me through everything and even looked up my husband's school colors (he's an older adult and got his degree on-line so we had never been to the college until his graduation day) and then she had them decorate in his colors. Our family is vegan and they made the most delicious vegan cake ever (that even the non vegans invited to the party raved about how wonderful it was) and even though it is harder to decorate with vegan icing they went out of their way to make it stunningly beautiful. The woman helping me advised me on her favorite flavors so we decided on a raspberry, vegan whip filling in chocolate cake and oh my goodness - to die for! They have convenient weekend pickup and although they are not cheap (actually rather expensive) it was well worth the cost for a special occasion and honestly I could have bought a smaller cake because it is very rich (although no one is complaining there are leftovers) This is definitely a place to trust when you want the very best in a dessert!! thank you to the staff for a very lovely experience from the moment I walked in to the last delicious bite of that...

I ordered 2 cakes. The smash cake was beautiful. But the cake for everyone else to eat was burnt on the inside and it was just GROSS. It was dry and hard and burnt between each layer. After spending all that time and money since my little girl has allergies, not one person ate the cake, luckily I had also made cupcakes that saved me for my guests. Then when I try to even go to the same lady that messed up her first birthday hoping that maybe we could somehow try to make it right with her second birthday, because the design was very pretty on her smash cake, just not good tasting at all, she was not nice about it at all and instead actually very rude telling me I was wrong, and that it didn’t matter anyways since I didn’t come to her and tell her the day of the party or the day after. I was aggravated because there was no way this new time around she would let us taste or at least let us see it before we paid. (Which also was not even a question of a discount from the last one) So I was to scared of a disaster again and I felt if she was very confident she would let me pay this time when I picked it up; Since I’m the one that got screwed over first off. My husband and I were living out of state when planning our Duluth wedding. Eileen was able to meet with us while we were back for an extremely short busy weekend. I knew the design I wanted but was completely clueless about flavors, fillings etc. She walked us through everything they offered, helped us narrow it down and took all the notes. Within the week she had sent me a list of what I had liked the best with price sheets. The next time I was in town she made us sample cakes for us to try of our top flavors. They were all delicious and exactly what we wanted. We finally settled on different flavor/filling combinations for each layer (which I didn't know was possible!) and were all set for the big day. The day of the wedding came and I honestly didn't have a single thought about the cake until I entered the room with our guests. It was am amazing feeling to not have a single thought of doubt or anxiety about something so important to a wedding. I completely trusted Eileen to do a deliver it on time, have it look flawless and taste delicious and she exceed on every point. I highly recommend her for anyone needing a special occasion cake.
