Havanas — Restaurant in Superior

I found Superior Cubans about 9 months ago and when I learned that they were opening up a new dine in restaurant "Havanas", I was pretty excited. My friend and I frequented their original establishment throughout the winter and we never got tired of it! I stopped in here today and the quality of the food really hasn't changed. They are still cranking out the tasty cubans that I have grown to love. I went with the Chicken Cordon Bleu Cuban today which was good. However, my all time favorites are the Creuben and the Beefy Blue. I initially had the Beefy Blue as a special earlier this year so I was happy to see it made it on the new menu. That was a mouth watering sandwich. Although, the Creuben was the first sandwich I ever had from them so I will always remember that one. You also can't go wrong with the original Cuban either. Honestly, it's worth it to just try a different menu item each time you stop in here.

My only piece of advice would be to either cut the cubans horizontally or at a slight angle. When it is cut vertically/right down the middle, it is a little harder to eat. It was also on the cooler side when it reached my table so I'm not sure if cutting it vertically cooled it down quicker or if it needed to be pressed longer. Lastly, I wasn't sure if there was only high tops, but if they added in some lower tables and had some brighter lighting, that would liven up the space a little more. We ordered two sandwiches. Beefy Blue and Ropa Vieja. Both were excellent and came with good chips and a pickle spear. The beef was very tender and very flavorful. We also ordered the street corn as a side and it was wonderful! We will be back soon to try other sandwiches, tacos and sides. The atmosphere was nice because you have the choice to sit in the bar or in the side room with high top tables. Nicely decorated and a warm atmosphere. You order for yourself at the bar or the food window and they deliver it to your table. I have no problem with that style of service. The bartender working the night we were there was very friendly and the guy who delivered our food was very friendly too. We will back and we recommend...

Worst restaurant experience I have had. Based on all the good reviews here, it may have just been a bad night (exceptionally bad). But our food took about an hour to come out, which is I can forgive knowing that most places are short staffed. My food was cold and when the server asked how the food was we let her know. She was quick to whisk away my dish to make it right. But after waiting another 40 minutes, with several promises that they were working on it, we left. The few bites I had of my husband's sandwich were good. But never in my life have I left a restaurant with an empty belly after sitting for nearly 2 hours. So...
