I love the history behind the name of this restaurant and the style that it is operated! Having the Chef take your order and personally cater to your unique taste was a very personal experience! We ordered the 16oz and 24oz ribeyes as well as a few sides to have for appetizer and to eat along with the steaks. The steak meal came with a salad from the self serve salad bar and personally we really enjoyed the ability to make our salad to our own liking. The cheese and broccoli soup was amazing and the sweet potatoes were very sweet and cooked to perfection! I ordered both steaks in medium rare and had them sear the fatty parts for a little bit of extra crunchiness. The 24oz ribeye came out to perfection, but the 16oz steak came out overcooked to our liking. After eating about half of the 16oz we couldn't finish it cuz of the dryness. The waitress noticed and asked if I wanted another steak to make up for it. The manager came over and asked how they could compensate, so we compromised to have an 8oz steak ordered the way we like it! They were very accommodating and very easy to work with, they also did not make me feel as though they weren't happy to do so. Like the 24oz ribeye the 8oz ribeye they brought out was cooked to perfection and we were fully satisfied and happy to have chosen Low Tide as our dinner spot that night! I would recommend Low Tide Steak House to any who would like to enjoy a great dinner with great service!

I had a fantastic dining experience at Low Tide! The restaurant offered a great selection of delicious food and drink choices. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who made the whole evening enjoyable. The ambiance was lovely, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. We decided to try the steak, swordfish, and mahi mahi dishes, and they were all cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Unfortunately, they ran out of clam chowder, but they quickly made it up to me by serving a tasty gumbo soup instead. Keep in mind that the place can get busy, so it's best to arrive early and be prepared for a bit of a wait; however, the staff efficiently managed the crowds. The only minor issue was that the seating arrangement felt a bit tight, so we had to be mindful of bumping into others on the way to the restroom. Nevertheless, it didn't overshadow the overall wonderful experience. I highly recommend Low Tide for its delicious food, great service, and enjoyable ambiance.

My recent visit to this restaurant was nothing short of disappointing. Despite waiting for over two hours, we were seated after locals who arrived later. The hostess's service was terrible, showing a lack of consideration and fairness. To add to the frustration, the broccoli, which was supposed to be steamed, came out completely raw. This was a clear oversight on the part of the kitchen staff. In an attempt to address our grievances, we approached the manager. However, he displayed a complete lack of professionalism and customer service. He not only ignored our concerns but walked away while we were in the middle of explaining our experience. Such a combination of poor service, inattentiveness, and a dismissive attitude is deeply disappointing and does not reflect well on this establishment. I hope this feedback serves as an opportunity for them to reevaluate their customer service and food quality.

The WORST customer service! We put ourselves on the wait list, they gave our table away because we were two minutes late. I get it, it’s busy. So we waited in the small waiting room sitting right infront of the counter where they called people. The blonde hostess was extremely rude the way she spoke to people. My daughters and I were listening to her and couldn’t believe how she would speak to customers. One lady she said I told you we would text you and you have 10 mins to come back. I heard that lady say to her daughter, I have never been spoke. Yo like that. Her tone was awful with people. After sitting there an hour, my sister asks how much longer. The blonde hostess says I have texted you twice….she said no you haven’t. My sister husband shows her the phone, there is no text. The hostess says, sorry I can’t help you. She also said she called our name twice. We said no you haven’t. Now mind you we are sitting directly infront of her for an hour. Not once did she call our name. She just said sorry, I can’t help you. Not I’m sorry, that’s my fault. Let me move yall to the next spot. She said we would have to start over with the time. I understand mistakes but own up to it, don’t sit there and tell us you called us when literally we have been sitting infront of you the whole entire time. So we leave because we couldn’t believe the customer service. It might be good food but I would rather have customer service. The kicker, on the way out my sister says, don’t go it’s bad customer service, an employee who we think is one of the managers, calls my sister a fool!! Unbelievable!!! As a business, as a manager or employee, disgusting. Shame on you. I hope you do better than what we saw in your future. Everyone has bad days but that was an absolute horrific day for yall as a business to act like that.

Edit-in response to the owners response. There is absolutely nothing I can do to obviously let people know the truth. I can only say what happened. Yes, I did look at reviews and yes there are complaints about a hostess and a manager. You are completely lying, no one screamed, no one slammed doors. Yes my sister did say don’t go in there they have bad customer service but why shouldn’t we let people know. But you, I’m guessing you are the owner, then call her a fool! There is absolutely no excuse. We see now how the hostess can tell lies and get away with it. (Telling us she called our name twice when 7 of us were sitting right infront of her for over an hour and she never once did) Their manager/owner is telling lies with what happened. Never in my 51 years have I ever seen a restaurant employees act like that. As the owner you should be apologizing and nothing more!! My parents owned a restaurant for years and taught me what real customer service should be. Sadly today...

This steakhouse is nothing out of the ordinary besides the salad bar. After searching for parking in the small lot, my party ordered the petite ribeye and the bourbon bacon burger with sides of wild rice chicken soup, baked sweet potato, and sauteed mushrooms and onion. We sat at the bar because it was busy and the bartenders treated us well and did a great job. The food on the other hand was dissapointing. It seemed rather pricey and the variety of steak cuts was small although it had many sizes of ribeye. The petite ribeye was cooked how we wanted, served warm, but just a little underseasoned(still just fine). Accompanied was the wild rice chicken soup that was okay but tasted like it was canned at some point. The mushrooms and onion was way underseasoned, devoid of color, and overcooked. The slice of texas toast that came with was average and cold. The burger was cooked correctly but underseasoned, didn't taste of bourbon, had a slice of cheese that wasn't melted, and two slices of bacon that looked and tasted as if they had sat for hours after being cooked. The only thing of note for this burger was the sesame bun that was a highlight but the burger came with no toppings other than those previously listed. The sweet potato was the best of either plate but it too wasn't seasoned. I love supporting small businesses, especially here at topsail but i must say this was dissapointing. An overpriced, small selection that isn't very well done. Service was great and the people were all friendly and nice, i just wish the food was...
