On our way to visit Wilmington for the day, our hunger overtook us and so we landed at Deli Works in Holly Ridge NC. We have traveled all over the United States and we believe in enjoying food, not just settling. Well, we could not believe how amazing the flavors, textures, and overall pride taken in our sandwiches and the chicken noodle soup. We had an Avacado BLT, Southwest Turkey Sandwich, and chicken noodle soup. The bread on both sandwiches was full of flavor - toasted to perfection. The avacodo BLT has a ranch avacado dressing embedded in the shredded lettuce and every layer of from bacon, cheese, tomato, and lettuce was evenly distributed and crafted so every bite was full of all the flavors/textures. Fantastic! The southwest Turkey sandwich comprised of smoked turkey, bacon, pepper jack cheese, avacado, pickled red onion, and a creamy salsa dressing. Again absolutely out of this world delicious! The chicken noodle soup also was not a typical run of the mill chicken noodle soup. It has shredded chicken, carrots, celery, onions, garlic, rotinni, and seasonings in a perfect broth. America needs to experience this place's mouth watering perfectly delicious food! Kim took great care of us and was very kind and made sure to see that we were pleased with our food. Definitely will go out of our way to make sure we dine there when...
Read moreDon't really like leaving negative reviews but this was our 2nd time here and same results. Lady at counter was grumpy and sooo unfriendly. Atmosphere, is like being in pre school with finger paints. Son ordered the club, very stingy with meats and cheese two slices ham, turkey and cheese. Wife ordered BLT, she was soo disappointed as the picture will show. 2 skinny slices of bacon, let and tomato. Me, roast beef and cheese, it was just ok. Again very small portion and chopped up over cooked roasted beef on chibatta . Daughter ordered the Italian. Never herd of an Italian with pastrami and again it was tiny. Best item was the German potato salad that was great. Very disappointed again, hoping for a true Deli but they definitely need to visit a real Italian or American deli that offer, subs, heros, hard rolls with a true Philly, NJ,NY portion style sandwiches. $50 definitely wasn't worth it. We're locals and will...
Read moreA new favorite!😍 The staff are friendly and efficient, the establishment is clean, orderly, and sophisticated without being pretentious.
Now, the food. I think they put a lot of love into their food, for how delicious and well thought out it is! The price seems higher than the local Tom, Richard, or Wanda can afford for anything more than a special treat, but honestly- I made two meals out of the one I ordered for myself, and could have made two for each of my children as well, had the oldest not hit a strong growth spurt.
There were two vegetarian options , and it looks like you could customize most of the others if needed without compromising quality.
Please do yourself a favor and give this place a try if you...
