I am SO unhappy with this place. I never write reviews but this time I'm hoping someone higher up see's my comment. So this evening around 6:15pm my family went in, mind you there is 7 of us so we know that a party of 2 may get their food a few moments before ours. No biggie. But after waiting 10 minutes we ordered. My mom had to ask for her salad and about 20 minutes after we ordered I noticed MULTIPLE families getting their food and leaving. I also noticed our waiter putting in an order which took at least 5 minutes all while constantly staring at our table. I believe he had forgotten to place our order which I was not mad at...reason being A. I have done this job and I understand things happen. B. There was absolutely no manager in sight to help out with small things like getting ice, cups, soup bowls etc. And C. It began to get busier and they didn't have designated sections, but rather had tables all over the place. I ended up walking to the bar top area to see if our order was on the screen, that's when a girl (unsure of her name, but she was shorter, dark hair, drawn in eyebrows and glasses) walked up and asked if she could help me. I explained I was just wanting to make sure our food was placed, I read her our order and she assured me its there, again asking if she knew how long (as we have 2 young kids who were crying for food this whole time) she said its being made right now (mind you we are at 30 minutes after ordering). Our server Eric G. Came over and assured that our food is on its way, I let him know that we were not upset with him but upset that there was no manager on the floor helping and ONLY 1 COOK. I asked for a manager, and was given the most absurd response.."we don't have a manager right now, (he gave me a woman's name, and pointed to the girl I described above) and said she is the fill in manager today. I asked him to confirm, "so you have no manager?" The manager (girl above) came walking over stating I'm the manager (all while she raised her eyebrows as high as she could and rolled her neck). I asked the server to cancel my orders and that we were leaving. He begged us to give him 3 minutes and he would go back and finish cooking it himself (by this time the cook was slammed and the screen was full of orders) I FELT BAD AND GAVE HIM 3 MINUTES...that's when after almost 5 we saw food heading to yet another table and not ours, we made the decision to leave and as we walked out the door (girl above) said "your server wants me to let you know that your food is done if you want to stay!" We replied no thanks and her response was "ok have a good night" no apologies nothing. I must add that despite all of this we have completely given up on Denny's, we continue to have crappy experiences and the staff is not what I would expect (dirty clothes, not friendly, dirty nails and scatter brained) I was having crazy anxiety as this place is so new yet ran so poorly. Never again Denny's...
Read moreOur visit was interesting. I gave 3 stars for the food. We entered and there were many empty tables. We requested a booth so we waited for someone to do that. It took a while...ok a long while. So we are now sitting, given menu's and asked if we would like to order..we asked for decaf coffee and a milkshake..and some water. We again waited another 15 minutes. The coffee made it to me but no water or milkshake. I observed a family of 4 get seated after us and served before our order was taken. Fast forward to when our order DID arrive we were already there an hour! Now most would complain and possibly walk out however I was really trying to pinpoint the problem.
I believe the cook did a fine job but the wait-staff are desparately under-trained! They were working hard, just not smart! I wondered why this was. The ladies were super nice! But everything was working against them as they. As if they were hired and sent out on their own. Seat customs Make sure they have utensils and water along with a menu. If the hostess seats she tells the guests their server will be coming to take their orders and asks if they would like to order drinks while they wait. Server takes the orders. Asks if they need refills on drinks. She places order and AS soon as the order is ready, serves it. Making sure to ask if they need anything else. Check back after a few minutes to make sure everything is alright. And periodically for refills. Prior to giving patrons their check.Ask if they want desert.
What this Denny's staff needs is training. Then it would be an awesome addition to Surprise eateries!
Meantime. Go at your own risk and try to be understanding even if your order comes with toast when you asked for a muffin. With better training, this establishment top notch! The food was tasty...even though it sat finished longer than it should have so it was not hot.
I will be following up with a friendly call to management to give them my opinions and suggestions. Those employees deserve a chance to make better tips for all the running around they do. Hope this is helpful. Oh the 3 or 4 staff members apologized saying they were really busy, and gave my daughter her milkshake free as we were leaving.
Sadly, they haven't seen "busy" yet. With better training the staff would enjoy their jobs and patrons even when there is a guest list waiting for a table. Could be a win...

7 out of 10 stars - Not a Denny's-tination, but still worth a pit stop!
So, I recently found myself at Denny's on Bell Road, which might as well be the last checkpoint before the wild ride to Sin City! First impressions were surprisingly good - the place smelled less like a time warp and more like a cafe!
I got seated in a flash and placed my order in warp speed too, but then the culinary rollercoaster went on a twisty path. The service was okay, but my water seemed to pull a vanishing act several times, and I had to perform the refill summoning dance.
Now, brace yourself for this food review! My bacon had a serious case of "I've lost my crisp," my hash browns were on the brink of an identity crisis, and my egg seemed to think it was auditioning for a role as a hockey puck!
Maybe the cook was trying to juggle flaming spatulas solo because the joint was buzzing like a beehive. Kudos for the bustling atmosphere, though, and thank the breakfast gods that the coffee was a savior in the taste department!
All in all, I'd slap a 7 out of 10 stars on this Denny's adventure. It's a decent pit stop if you're in a hurry, want to save some cash before the Vegas extravaganza, and are willing to take a few quirky detours in your dining experience.
Pros: Cool updated digs Groovy atmosphere Coffee that'll keep you wired for the ride!
Cons: Service could use a turbo boost Food might be on a rollercoaster mood swing Water refills might take a few rounds of "Marco Polo"
Overall: So, the Denny's adventure on Bell Road off the 303 was an amusing whirlwind. The vibes were rad, but the food didn't exactly make me do the Happy Pancake Dance. The service could use some fine-tuning, but hey, if you're hungry and craving a quick stop before that Vegas thrill, Denny's can be your sidekick on this quirky road trip! Just don't expect your taste buds to skyrocket to...
