The best staff and coffee in the Valley. No, I am not being hyperbolic or exaggerating. No matter how "bleh" my morning may have started, I always drive away with a smile, the attitude of the staff here is just that infectious.

Their coffee is some of the best I have had, and I used to live in Seattle. Maybe that is the extra charm? Anyone familiar with the PNW knows you can't take four steps anywhere up there without running across a coffee stand and quite often, those little trailers parked in the corner of a parking lot are exceptional and beat the pants off of any chain. Well, that is precisely what Gathered Grounds has achieved in Surprise.

Pass by any morning and you are likely to see a line of 8 or more cars waiting. That's the first clue this a good place. Quite often, police will be in that line for their caffeine fix. That is another very good sign, trust the police to know the good food/drink places in a community.

Despite the lines, they move it quick and I have never had a wrong order. In fact, only coming once or twice a week, they still know my order when I pull up. With the number of people they see a day, this impresses me. I've watched them walk the line getting orders and knowing most of the people's orders ahead of time. There is an attention to detail they demonstrate that is just not often seen anymore and I appreciate that they put in the effort.

If you are on the West side and need some wonderful coffee served by genuinely happy people trying to make the world a better place one cup at a time, then head to Gathered Grounds. If you aren't close by, we'll still head on over, there will be a delicious treat...

Let me tell you a little story about my coffee hunt

I was on the search for coffee at 5pm on a weekday and saw their trailer. I flew across 3 lanes of traffic (just kidding) but they were closed for the evening

A woman who said she went there often was on the phone with the owner and we chatted for a bit and I promised to come back

I am Sooooo happy I came back

Great service She was so sweet while walking me through the menu

I got 2 different breakfast burritos because I’m greedy and I love options

I took a bite of each one and decided that the chorizo and eggs were my favorite so I gave my boyfriend the bacon one which was still good but it didn’t beat the chorizo

I also ordered an iced latte with cold foam and a hot white mocha

Of course I also took a sip of each and proclaimed the iced latte the victor so the boyfriend got the hot white mocha
