Oh, where do I begin with this Jimmy Johnâs?
First, imagine my surprise when I walked into a fast food jointâyes, FAST foodâand was greeted by a tip screen. Cute. I guess now weâre tipping before service is even rendered? Bold move, considering Iâm still waiting for a single shred of good service.
And speaking of service⌠the cashier? A shining example of "bare minimum energy." When I politely asked for a durable cup for water, I was met with a mix of confusion, side-eye, and the kind of attitude youâd expect if Iâd asked for a free sub and a foot massage. Then, as if things werenât already off to a stellar start, they handed me my food without even bagging itâas in, I had to reach over the counter and package it myself.
So, let me get this straight: Iâm expected to tip before anything is done, get greeted with a frown, endure passive-aggressive body language, and then do the bagging myself? All while receiving a sandwich that wasnât even up to the usual Jimmy Johnâs standards?
Yeah, hard pass. Iâve been to other locations that actually seem to enjoy serving customersâand they donât guilt-trip you for tips either.
Moral of the story? If youâre into mediocre sandwiches, packing your own food, and tipping for the privilege of being ignored, this is your spot. Otherwise, steer clear and letâs collectively remind the world: tips are for service, not just...
Read moreItâs been awhile since having a Jimmy Johnâs sandwich. First time here at their new location; coming on a very stormy night â Wednesday, July 2nd. I ordered the #5 Vito sandwich with chips (BBQ) and a large fountain drink. The total after tax came to $14.21. Their bread is unique. I like it as it doesnât fall apart like some sandwich or sub shops do. The quality of meats are equal; as are their brand of chips. I think where Iâd favor another shop over JJâs is in the variety of sandwiches offered, and the fountain drinks - eg Jersey Mikeâs has cream soda and a unique root beer. Service was fine. They helped sign up for JJâs rewards. The service was fast too; just as their advertisement says âfreaky fast đ¨ freaky good đđź.â If youâre hungry and in the area, give them a try. I might be a frequent customer as theyâre super close by. Sorry, no photos to share. If youâve seen one of their subs, youâve...
Read moreThis was the worst sandwich I've ever had the displeasure of eating. The bread resembles cardboard. Tasteless and stale! I only know there was meat on it because I saw a miniscule amount on the cardboard, but I couldn't taste it. The only thing with flavor at all were the tiniest tomatoes I've even had on a sandwich. They left off the cheese and they might as well have left off the condiments because they were sparse, too. It's close enough to walk to this location, but I'll never spend another dime on this worthless restaurant. Might as well have...
