BEWARE!!!!!
My friend offered to take me to lunch and I was excited to come here as I ahve been a customer for over 25 years. Literally one of the top 5 worst meals of my.life. we ordered soup monza ball and chicken noodle; both were microwaved and tasted sour....both took one bite and could not stomach another. Then our meals came out; the condors revenge was my favorite sandwich but now it seems like they are using old rolls, cheap roast beef (if not steak ums honestly) , and "sautéed" onions....supposed to come with horseradish buy there was none or so little it wasn't recognizable over the cheap frozen meat and soggy onions. My friend got a pastrami sandwich- it came out on white wonder bread with maybe 1/10 a lb of pastrami that had to ahve been purchased at giant or even Walmart, no cheese, no mustard or saurkraut. The bread was also not toasted...I have made better sandwiches for my 7 year Olds packed lunches. Then we both tried our potato salad which was probably the 2nd best part of our meal but also was dry and tasteless. The best part of my meal was the dr brown ginger ale and my friends was the pickle they gave us. 50.00 for a meal that was absolutely terrible! (THANK GOD HE WAS PAYING AND NOT ME)!
The waitress did not even ask why we didn't touch our meals, clearly no one cared and we got some d frozen microwaved leftovers, lesson learned and will never return to this establishment!
This place is not the same, their menu is too large as well....focus on being a new York deli, or don't call yourself a deli...maybe they can rename the place to Mr deli's diner because that's what they are AT BEST these days.
Make a sandwich at home, I beg of you, for your own sake! Open a can of Campbell's soup before you order a bowl of lukewarm sour...
Read moreFood is alright, not worth the hassle though. Service is incredibly and insufferably slow. Takes forever to have anyone come to your table at all or even get menus. People who came in after us, our waitress went to and even served their food before getting our order, even though we were more than obviously ready. Took 10 minutes to get a menu. Took 5 more to get drinks brought. Another 5 to actually order even though we said we were ready. Then took 25 minutes for our order to come up (a sandwich and a panini) because "a big order came in" which was a take out. If it wasn't so close to my husband's work and easy to meet for lunch sometimes, I'd never go back. He has 30 minutes for a lunch so by the time you get your food you have to swallow it in one bite so he's not even later to work or take it with him and he's still...
Read moreThis is a great spot to stop for breakfast or lunch. We were greeted with smiles from each of the staff and they looked like they enjoyed their job. Alexis was our waitress and she could not have been better. She was so pleasant and made sure we were satisfied with everything. And we were. The chicken sandwich with cranberry mayo was so good. My husband loved the ham omelet, and home fries. He loves all day breakfasts. The restaurant was clean, attractive, and inviting. Plenty of parking out front. Hugh selection on the menu. Very reasonable prices. Thank you Alexis. Arden took our check. He was very pleasant and we left happy and satisfied.
